I took a deep breath and asked, "So you know Alice from before", I internally gulped when I saw Jacob staring at me with his narrow eyes but sighed in relief when he excitedly started talking, "Yeah I know her from my childhood, we were neighbours, Alice and I are besties since birth, studied in the same school, graduated from the same University but from different majors obviously.
Alice was into cooking and baking from the starting itself as her mother owned Delight Cafe and now she is the owner, she grew up so well, you might think I am sounding dramatic but that's how I feel everytime I look at her, I always had a soft corner for her, when I told Alice that I am going to New York she was so pissed.
It was so hard to convince her but she eventually agreed, I can say I am more close to Alice than I am to my mom, I have been there for her in her hard times, Alices' mom and dad passed away in an accident after that both Alice and Ava were broken, Ava is Alices' big sister, she used to work at a law firm but quit it after getting married.
I remember it was the first day of our university, we were ninteen, when Alice got her first proposal and you know what she did to reject that guy?? She introduced me as her boyfriend to that guy, from that day onwards no one approached her with romantic intentions, basically I was her fake boyfriend till we graduated from the University.
When Ava got married she asked Alice to move in her new home with her which kinda made me sad as I didn't want Alice to go away from me but I knew that she needed Ava more than she needed me. Surprisingly when Alice was not my neighbour anymore our friendship deepened.
When we both were twenty-one Ava gave birth to Alex, our little champ, we all adore him also especially Alice, Alex is her heart.
Alice and I are both in touch with each other but from one year I am not getting to contact her much, I am actually really grateful towards you, because of you I got to see her after like one and half years", Jacob completed.
For the very first time in my life I thanked God for giving Jacob a talkative mouth, because of him I got to know so much about my heaven but the way he talked about her and the way his eyes shined while mentioning her name is somewhat suspicious, I poked my inner cheek not wanting to think something bad but if my thoughts are true the Jacob you have to pay for it.
Let's not jump on the conclusion, I should just clear it out with him only, "So, do you like Alice "? I heavy heartedly asked, "Who won't like her, she is beautiful in and out, a pure soul indeed", Jacob answered and hearing him my blood boiled, I was about to throw my hands at him when he again said,
"She is like my baby sister, I truly adore and care for her", I internally squealed hearing him now my doubts got cleared, now nothing can stop me from approaching you my heaven, be ready to be Mrs. Walker.
I came in my booked room where I am gonna stay tonight, tommorow I have to leave from here which I really don't to, I wanna stay here for some more days, what should I do?? Wait, I am the boss right? So it's my decision of leaving or staying, yeah I am gonna stay here until I make her mine.
Gosh she will be mine, this feeling itself makes me giddy, look what you have done to me my love. I freshnup with the thoughts of Alice lingering in my head. I decided to have dinner from outside so I declined the room service, I walked into a restaurant which was right next to the hotel I am staying in.
As soon as I stepped in the reserved area of the restaurant a familiar smell hit my nostrils, the same lavender fragrance, is she here??
I instinctively roamed my eyes around, desparate to get a single glimpse of her and my heart felt at ease when I spotted her.
A wide smile crept on my lips when she started walking in my direction, probably to greet me, I also took some steps towards her but instantly frozen on my spot when she wrapped her hand around my neck hugging me gently, I came back from my trance when Alice pulled away from the hug.
I internally whined when cuz I didn't get to feel the warm embrace of my love cuz I was not in my right senses but again my eyes widened when she interwined our fingers and brought our hands up showing it to someone and then said something which blew my mind,
"Henry, this is George, my boyfriend and we both love each other very much", I looked infront of me only to find a man around my age only staring at my heaven, I felt like plucking his eyeballs off, I was busy glaring at him when I felt my heavens hot breath against my ear as she whispered giving me goosebumps, "Just play along".
