Georges' Pov
I came back in my hotel room after having dinner with Alice at the restaurant, I never knew having food can be ten times tastier if we are having it with someone we love.
I jumped on the bed and started rolling feeling giddy, I was practically squealing, if someone will see me like this they will surely die out of shock,you have woken up my inner child my heaven.
How come I got this fortunate to have dinner with her, is god helping me? If yes then I should say thank you to him, I should express my gratitude towards him.
I immediately closed my eyes saying, "Thank you so much for letting me meet her, I might have done some good deeds in my past life that in this life I got to see her, please make me meet my heaven once again".
I opened my eyes when my phone started ringing, it was Jacob who was calling me, but why at this hour?? I frowned it confusion but still picked up the call, "Sorry for calling you at this hour but it's urgent", Jacob said before I could say anything.
"What's the matter"? I asked allowing him to say further, "Sir Mr. Edward collins brother in law of Alice wants your personal number, I asked him why he need your number but he didn't tell me".
My eyes widened hearing him, why does Alices' brother in law want my number? Did I do something wrong?? Is Alice okay?? Panick rushed in me thinking of the worst possibilities but I got out of my thoughts when Jacob asked from other side,
"Sir you there?? Do you want me to give him your number?? If not then I won't give",
"You can give him my number ", I ordered and Jacob said a small "Okay" and hung up the call. Soon I received a call from am unknown number, I nervously rubbed my palm and took deep breath and picked up the call.
"Hello, this is George speaking", "Hello,
Mr. George I am Edward Collins and you must be knowing who am I, right"? I nervously gulped before answering, "Yeah Mr. Edward I know", "Alice must have told you about me", a smile formed on my lips when Mr. Edward mentioned the name of my heaven.
I muttered a small "Yes", "Mr. George I got to know that you are dating Alice from one of my colleague who happens to be Mr. Henry, I am sure you met him, am I right"? I harshly gulped at the question, shall I tell him the truth? No I should not.
If I do that then they will find another guy for her and I can't let that happen, if someone says I am selfish then let it me cuz I can be selfish for my love, so I took deep breath and said, "Mr. Edward I know who Henry is and yes I am dating Alice from past two months".
There was a moment of silence before
Mr. Edward said, "Well then Mr. George,let's meet each other at my home tomorrow, I will message you the time and about location then bring Jacob with you he knows my address".
I said alright and hung up the call. Tomorrow at his place, what will he say?? Alice will be there, how will she react?? God just let the things go in my favour, I won't ask for much, just let me be with my love for the rest on my life. With all those thoughts lingering in my head I drifted to sleep.
I woke up when sun peeked through the curtains of the window, I checked my phone, there was Edwards message, I immediately got freshnup and called Jacob who picked up the call within few rings.
"I am just coming to pick you up boss, then we will straight up head to Airport", Jacob said without even giving me a chance to speak anything, "Learn to listen sometimes and yeah we are not going to New York today I have to go to Mr. Edwards house so you have to take me there".
I told and hung up the call cuz I knew Jacob will bombard me with a lot of questions. I quickly ate my breakfast and rushed out of the hotel when Jacob messaged me that he is here, he opened the car door for me.
As soon as I sat down he sat next to me and asked, "Why are you going there"?
"To party", I replied in a duhh tone but I looked at Jacob weirdly when he said,
"Pub is far better place than someone's house for partying", "Are you nuts?? Or just too dumb to understand sarcasm".
I asked curiously but rubbed my forehead in annoyance when he asked, "Were you being sarcastic"? "Yeah, I was being sarcastic and now shup your god damn mouth and take me to Edwards place".
Jacob immediately nodded when I practically yelled at him and went towards the drivers seat and drove towards Edward house saying, "I am taking you there boss, you just relax".
I closed my eyes and thought of my heaven just by thinking of her my nerves calmed down, soon I was infront of Edwards house, I slowly caressed my chest to calm down my racing heart. Jacob gestured me to step forward as we both headed in.
A lady who looked somewhat similar like my heaven opened the door, she must be Ava, she greeted me and ruffled Jacobs hairs who giggled, she gestured us to come inside. When we went in I saw a man sitting on couch, he must be Edward.
After seeing me he stood up and shook his hand with me saying, "Nice to meet you
Mr. George, come take a seat Alice will be here in a while", I sat on couch infront of Edward, Jacob was busy talking with Ava when he got a call from someone and excused himself.
An old lady came with some refreshments and offered me which I took and said thank you, I took a sip and bit my inner cheek, I tried my level best to look cool and nonchalant infront of them but internally I was freaking out.
My ears perked up when I heard heels clicking sound, "Alice come", Ava said as I turned around and my breath hitched looking at my heaven who looked quite shock seeing me. She stepped forward when Edward gestured her to come and sit.
She was about to sat next to him and Ava when he told her to sit next to me. I internally thanked Edward for doing that. Alice sat next to me and smiled softly at me which I replied with a small smile but we both looked at Edward shockingly when he said, "Alice, you are going to marry Mr. George by the end of this month".
