Authors' POV
"Alice I totally understand your point, if I was in your place I would have done the same thing", Henry said with a small smile which was fake and George noticed it and poked his inner cheek, he just wanted Henry to disappear from his sight but he was unwillingly tolerating him.
He knew that if Henry will leave then his heaven will no longer act like his girlfriend.
"Thanks for understanding Henry and I am really sorry", Alice said, slightly feeling bad for the guy infront of her but seeing her apologising George fumed in anger.
He gently took her hand in his palm and said softly while caressing her cheek, "I don't like my love apologising to someone, so don't ever do that again, am I clear Heaven ", hearing him Alice subconsciously nodded and gulped nervously.
She looked away avoiding Georges' gaze which was piercing right into her soul, their was a hidden tension between them but Henry being sharp eyed noticed it immediately and huffed loudly, he got up saying, " I think I should leave", hearing him both Alice and George looked at him and nodded in sync.
As soon as Alice saw Henry leaving she immediately detached herself from George but she gasped loudly when George pulled her towards himself and hugged her tightly kissing her head softly, she was about to push George away when she heard him whispering in her ear, "Stay still Henry is watching".
Alice nodded and hugged George back wrapping her arms around his neck, Henry w was watching them hugging while hiding behind a pillar gritted his teeth and stormed out of the restaurant.
Alice immediately got out of Georges' embrace when she saw Henry leaving the restaurant but George internally whined when he lost the warmth of his love.
"Thank you so much Mr. George for helping me", Alice said greatfully on which George nodded smiling softly at her and said, " Well, I am happy that I was able to help", "Would you mind telling me why you pulled out this stunt"? Alice nervously chuckled at Georges' question but nevertheless replied,
"Actually I don't want myself to get involved in any relationship but my sister forced me to meet Henry, I somehow wanted to get away from the situation, so I did what my heart said", George nodded in understanding and softly asked, "Would you mind if I have my dinner with you"?
Alice immediately shook her head and said, "Gosh, Mr. George you are embarrassing me, it should be me asking you that", George chuckled softly before saying, "Shall we", Alice nodded and they both sat on their chair and ordered food.
Soon a waiter placed their food on the table and left after bowing a little. "Let's dig in", Alice said excitedly, girl is a foodie person for real, George just chuckled fondly at her and started eating while time to time glancing at his heaven who was so immersed in eating.
She was totally oblivious of the love filled gaze on her, George internally cooed when he saw Alice munching on her food with a pout adorning her face, man just can't get enough of her, he badly wanted to pinch that stuffed cheeks of his heaven but he controlled himself, not wanting to make his love uncomfortable.
"Is your palm okay now"? George asked staring at Alices' left palm which was slightly red but far better than before, "Yeah it's better now, thanks for your concern" Alice said and George mumbled, "It's my right to be concerned about you", thankfully Alice didn't heard that's what George thought after blabbering it.
Soon they both finished their food and waitercm came with a bill, Alice was about to pay the bill when George took out his card and gave it to the waiter, seeing this Alice said, "Let me pay Mr. George", George denied and said, "When you are with me you don't have to pay".
"Pardon", Alice said confused thinking she misheard George, "I can't let you pay
Miss. Alice, this time it's on me, next time I want a treat from you", George immediately said cursing his inner self for spilling truth, man was about to expose his true feyfor his heaven.
"Okay then Mr. George next time it's on me so by...no not that word, as you said see you soon", Alice said smiling politely on which George nodded smiling widely, man was happy that his heaven remembered his words. Soon they parted ways totally unaware of the thing that their life is going to take a massive turn.
Alices' Pov
I came back home from the restaurant, as soon as I stepped in the living room I gulped nervously looking at Edward and Ava who were staring right into muly soul, I knew what was coming for me, while fidgeting my fingers I walked towards them.
None of them uttered a single word, is this a silent before storm?? "Alice you might be tired, go to your room and take rest", Ava said as I stared at her dumbstruck, is she serious, doesn't she want to ask me anything??
I looked at Edward who gestured me to go and rest and I nodded shrugging of my thoughts and went to rest. I was tossing and turning around on my bed unable to sleep as the evening incident keep coming in my mind, I am really grateful of Mr. George that he helped me at the restaurant.
He is really a very nice person, he is humble, helpful, kind and understanding person, a gentleman indeed, thinking of him I unknowingly went to my dreamland...
I woke up, surprisingly I didn't get any bad dream, am I healing from my past traumas?? If yes then it's really good cuz I am fed up by living such dreadful life in which I can't even sleep properly, too tired of that insomnia shit.
I got freshnup and went downstairs, Alex went to school, gosh I am already missing my sweetheart, sensing my presence Edward called me, I got a bit surprised seeing him still at home, doesn't he have a law firm to run??
"Alice come and have breakfast", Miss. Julia said serving breakfast for me, I nodded and say in my chair, I looked at living room where Edward and Ava were talking something seriously, it was making me feel uneasy.
I somehow completed my breakfast as I was losing my appetite with every single bite I was gulping down. "Alice go and get ready, we have some guests coming over", Ava said when she spotted me entering the living room.
I frown in confusion before asking, "Who is coming"? "You will know soon, now go", this time Edward replied shortly, I nodded at left towards my room to get ready, I got ready and looked in the mirror, "Red is surely my colour", I said in monologue, simply feeling graceful in the red A-line dress I was wearing.
I did a little touch-up before walking out of my room, I was descending from the stairs when my eyes fell on a man who was sitting on couch back facing me, "Alice come", Ava said when she saw me and soon everyone present in the living room avert their gaze on me.
My eyes widen a bit when the man who was back facing me turned around, it was Mr. George. I stepped forward when Edward gestured me to come and sit on the couch. I was about to sit beside him and Ava when he stopped me and told me to sit next to
Mr. George.
I sat next to him confused about my brother in laws behaviour but smiled softly at
Mr. George when he looked at me and he smiled back buty eyes popped out and I snapped my head towards Edward when he declared, "Alice you are going to marry
Mr. George by the end of this month".
