Alices' Pov
When I went home Ava told me that she had arranged a blind date for me, she told me that the guy is a very good person and he works with Edward in his law firm, she told me that Henry the guy whom I am gonna meet tonight liked me when he first time saw me when I visited Edwards law firm.
I tried to deny saying I am not ready for these things but Ava got angry and lashed out on me saying, "I am really disappointed Alice, why can't you take my two cents? I know it's not easy for you to to forget that you had a one sided lover who tried to force himself on you, but it's all your past now, it has happened a year back, you should be moving on now, I too want you to settle down, why can't you understand this small thing"?
When I heard her words I felt really bad cuz it's not easy for me at all and Also she knows only few things about that incident which Sofi told her, well I myself told Sofi not to tell her and also I didn't want to remember that horrible incident so on my request sofi made up the whole story and told it to Ava.
But now I am regretting it, it would've been better if she knew what really happened with me and why I am so terrified by even the thought of giving someone a chance to enter my life.
"Alice keep some leap of faith for this blind date, I feel like it's gonna be a turning point of your life", Ava insisted me to go on a blind date and I heavy heartedly agreed cuz I didn't want to trouble her more and I know she wants the best for me.
When I reached restaurant Euphoria, I saw Henry sitting in the reserved area, he looked decent, he was dressed up in a tuxedo, if this guy would've met me one and half year back I would've somewhere considered him but now the situation is different.
Henry immediately got up when he saw me, he forwarded his hand towards me as I shook my hand with him, he immediately pulled out a chair for me and I internally rolled my eyes before sitting on it, he smiled at me as I faked a smile back at him.
My mind already started making plans to escape this situation. Henry started talking and I was unwillingly listening to him, everything happening around me felt like bullshit to me.
I closed my eyes and took deep breath when Henry asked, " Alice, why are you not saying anything"? "Henry I already have a boyfriend and we love each other a lot", I blurted out but soon realised what I said and internally cursed myself.
I looked at Henry when he started laughing loudly while saying, "Too much casual way of rejecting your date Alice, but I know you are lying Edward told me that you are single and never had any relationship in past", his words pissed me off, now for sure I don't want to continue this conversation with him.
I looked here and there thinking of a way for escaping this situation when my eyes fell on Mr. George, I immediately got up from my seat and made my way towards him with Henry trailing behind me asking, " Alice, what happened"?
I saw Georges' wide smile when he saw me, I took deep breath and let my intrusive thoughts win, I hugged him wrapping my hands around his neck, I could feel his body stiffen, I knew what I was doing was not right but I needed his help so sucking a deep breath I pulled out from the hug.
I interwined my fingers with George and showed it to Henry, I could feel Georges' questionable gaze on me but I ignored it and confidently lied to Henry saying, "Henry, this is George, my boyfriend and we love each other very much",
I internally gulped when I saw Henry continuously staring at me with his piercing gaze but then I shifted my gaze towards George and whispered in his early praying to every god that he will help me escaping this situation, "Just play along".
Authors' POV
Silence..... Pin drop silence, only the sound of soft breathing of three people could be heard who were sitting next to each other around a round table, but the silence broke when youngest of them spoke, " Henry, this is George, my....".
"Yeah your boyfriend I know, you have said it before", Henry spoke cutting Alice off who innocently nodded looking at Henry and about George then that man was too lost looking at the interwined fingers of him and Alice.
He got back in his senses when Henry asked, " How long you guys have been dating Mr. George", " Well we are dating from past two months now", George replied confidently and swiftly pulled Alice close to him causing their shoulders to bump.
Alice just smiled softly as George and looked at Henry who rolled his eyes at her antics but flinched hard when George slammed his hand on the table and warned, "Dare to roll that little eyes of yours on my love, you won't have eyes to roll again".
Hearing him Henry gulped thickly and apologised to Alice who was just staring at George with wide eyes wondering how a person like George can do acting of a possessive boyfriend so well but who will tell her that George is not acting, he is just expressing his real self.
George was the happiest when he got to know that he have to act as Alices' Boyfriend, man was so ready to do that, his inner romeo was squealing in joy, he wants to be Alices' real boyfriend but he was okay that atleast he can be her fake boyfriend for awhile.
About Alice then she was happy that George was acting according to her plan and she was determined to make Henry leave from her sight, Now back to the story.....
"Alice if you already have a boyfriend then why did you agree to come on a date with me"? Henry asked clearly frustrated, man was malfunctioning, he really thought that Alice was just joking around about the thing of having a boyfriend.
But when he saw Alice really do have a boyfriend who look so damn smoking hot and top of that a buisness tycoon, man felt a bit of inferior, "Actually Henry my sister and brother in law don't know that I am dating George and I really don't wanna disclose my relationship infront of them this soon, so I thought of agreeing to this date and then telling you the truth", Alice said lowly.
She absolutely hated the fact that she has to lie this much just to escape a stupid date. But she was doing all this to protect herself from getting into this unwanted shit.
