I was busy digging daggers in that waitress head in my imagination when the manager of the cafe immediately came and bowed infront of Alice apologising, "I am sorry for staff mistake Miss. Alice, are you alright"?
Before Alice could say anything the waitress said out, "Sir, this low class girl was roaming in our cafe carelessly, she is acting for getting attention, I know she is a bitch", my blood boiled at her remarks for Alice, I will make sure to knock some senses in her head.
"Mr. Kit, fire this waitress now and don't let any waitress wear heels during their work time", Alice ordered the manager in her firm voice which made me confused, "Who are you to order him huh? I know you are trying to look cool infront of our rich customers,
Mr. Kit don't listen to her, she is an attention seeker", the waitress blurted out.
"Attention seeker huh? Says the one who wears extremely tight clothes, showing her cleavage instead of wearing uniform given to staff and also wear pencil heels during work hours, how can you even breath in those clothes? I am feeling suffocated just by looking at you", Alice said out sassily which made my heart do flip flops, gosh she knows how to handle situation like this, I am very impressed.
"You can't humiliate me like that", the waitress said fuming in anger, "Well, I surely can, I never wanted to buy you forced me to do so, know one thing, you can't work here with this bitchy attitude of yours", Alice said blowing over her palm on which she had just applied ointment given by manager Mr. Kit.
"You can't order me or talk with me like that", the waitress yelled, gosh her voice is so irritating, surprisingly it's more irritating than my P.As' voice. "She can order us and we must listen to her orders", Mr. Kit said sternly, "And why so "? The waitress asked rolling her eyes, I am sure she will find her working brain cells if she keeps doing it.
"Cuz she is the owner of this cafe", Mr. Kit stated as a sudden wave of proudness hit me, My Heaven is an independent girl, I looked at the waitress, she looked scared, her face had lost its colour. I could see swear dripping from her forehead as she gulped nervously, she immediately joined her hands and started begging for forgiveness.
My heart skipped a bit when Alice sassily said, "Miss whoever you are, stop this drama, I don't need your apology nor I am gonna forgive you for whatever the shit you said, it's not the way how you treat people around you, you should respect everyone out there, doesn't matter if they are elder, small kid, low class, high class, rich, poor or any VIP, especially when you are working in my cafe you must respect and talk politely with the customers as well as your
co-workers and moreover it's a cafe not a bar that you are dressed up like this and if you can't walk in heels then why wearing it, thank God my nephew didn't get hurt, what if the hot coffee fell on him? And instead of apologising you started blaming me. I don't need workers like you in my cafe, so you may leave".
"I know it's my fault mam, I didn't know you were the owner of this cafe, please don't fire me from this job", the waitress begged, "This is the exact reason why I am firing you, you are apologising to me bcz this is my cafe, bcz you got to know that I am the owner, you still don't realise your mistake, get out of my sight", Alice said, "Mam, please ", the waitress again begged infront of my heaven which she wholeheartedly ignored and having no other option the waitress left from there crying.
Alices' POV
After enjoying my time in sugar hills creamery with Sofi I decided to head back home but Alex insisted me saying he wanna visit my cafe so I took him with me to Delight Cafe, it's been long since I last visited there, Mr. Kit has been handling the cafe very well, he time to time keep me updated about the cafe.
Alex being the bratty boy started running around the cafe, Alex also being obedient stopped running around when I scolded him, I quickly pulled Alex back when I saw the waitress stumbling bcz her heel broke and hot coffee fell on my hand.
I was expecting her to apologise for her carelessness but instead of doing that she started to trash talk about me which clearly pissed me so I ordered Mr. Kit to fire her but again she started arguing so I gave her the taste of her own medicine and she ran away crying.
"I am really sorry Miss. Alice on behalf of her", Mr. Kit said in apologetic manner as I nodded saying "It's okay Mr. Kit but I really don't want anything like this happening again", "It won't happen again Miss. Alice, I will make sure of it", Mr. Kit said as I nodded and turned towards the customers and bowed saying, "Sorry for the inconvenience please be comfortable and enjoy", everyone nodded and started minding their own business.
I looked infront of me only to see the famous business tycoon Mr. George staring at me without even blinking which made me slightly nervous but soon it faded when my eyes fell on Jacob, my childhood bestie who was standing right next to Mr. George.
My eyes widened and a wide smile formed on my lips and my bestie was no less than me he squealed happily coming towards me and hugged me tightly which I accepted happily. "How my gorgeous bestie is doing"? Jacob asked dramatically which made me giggle as I said, "Still dramatic as hell, you didn't changed a bit", " my dramatic self only comes infront of you otherwise I am a well mannered, disciplined guy, you can ask my boss if you want", Jacob said as I immediately denied saying, "No need of that, I know you're a whole different person when it comes to your profession", I said as Jacob nodded.
He ruffled Alexs' hair asking, "How is my little champ doing"? "I am all fine Jacob uncle", Alex said which giggling cutely, "Did my champ missed me"? Jacob again asked and Alex nodded spreading his arms wide saying, " I missed you this much", we all chuckled at his antics.
"Okay enough of talking now, Jacob and
Mr. George please enjoy your time here, I will get going now and again sorry for inconvenience ", I said politely on which Jacob nodded but Mr. George said, "Miss. Alice, mind if you tell me the best dessert of your cafe", I smiled softly and replied, "Why not Mr. George, well people visiting here usually prefer Brooklyn day out cake cuz it's very refreshing, along with hot coffee, it can make your day".
"We will go with it then, thanks for suggestion", Mr. George said in subtle manner at which I shook my head saying, "I should be the one thanking you for visiting my small cafe, I bet it's gonna be famous after the news of you visiting here will spread", " You are exaggerating it Miss. Alice, I am not that notable and moreover this cafe is already renowned bcz of its good service, courtesy, homy vibe and not to forget bcz of delicious desserts served here", Mr. George said kindly.
I nodded gratefully saying, "It's my honour to hear such appreciating words from a great person like you Mr. George", he just nodded at me smiling softly as I smiled back then looked down when I felt a tug on my sweatshirt, Alex was standing there looking up at me showing his adorable pout which melted my heart into puddle.
I gently scooped him up in my arms before asking, " Why my sweetheart is pouting "? "You are not giving your sweetheart any attention ", Alex said making a sulky face as I chuckled fondly at him and kissed his forehead who scrunched his nose out of habit. "Do you wanna go home or wanna spend some time here having something delicious "? I asked cupping his cheek and he nodded saying, "Wanna have blueberry pie with choco shake".
I nodded and made him sit on a chair and called Sam who is a waiter in my cafe and ordered two coffee, two Brooklyn day out cake, a blueberry pie and chocolate shake who took a note of the order and went to take it.
"Mr. Kit can you look after other customers I will join you in a while", I told Mr. Kit who nodded and went towards the cash counter, I turned towards Alex and was about to say something when my phone rang, I gestured Jacob to look after Alex before picking up the call and excused myself.
