Outside CIA Headquarters…
Erik Lehnsherr was walking away from the headquarters when, from behind, a voice cut through the night.
"What I know about you; I'm surprised you've managed to stay this long." Charles Xavier said, coming up to him from behind.
Erik turned toward his body, his head facing Charles. "What do you know about me?"
"Everything." Charles replied with no hesitation.
"Then you know to stay out of my head." Erik replied, turning to face away from Charles. He started to walk away.
"I'm sorry, Erik, but I've seen what Shaw did to you. I've felt your agony. I can help you." Charles said, following behind until Erik stopped.
There was a quiet pause until Erik turned back towards Charles. "I don't need your help."
"Don't kid yourself. You needed my help last night. It's not just me you're walking away from. Here you have the chance to be part of something much bigger than yourself. I won't stop you from leaving. I could. But I won't."
Charles turned away to walk back into the building, but before he left completely, he said. "Shaw has got friends. You could do with some."
CIA Headquarters Daytime:
Charles Xavier and the CIA man were looking outside from the window at a giant white technological ball.
"Hank turned that radar installation into a transmitter. It's designed to amplify brainwaves so it could enhance your telepathic powers, help us find other mutants for our division." A CIA man said.
"What if they don't want to be found by you?" Erik replied from behind them at the entrance of the room
"Erik. You decided to stay." Charles said with a wide smile and glee in his voice.
Erik nodded at Charles before saying, "If a new species is being discovered, it should be by its own kind. Charles and I find the mutants. No suits."
"First of all, that's my machine out there. Second of all, and much more importantly, this is Charles' decision. Charles is fine with the CIA being involved. Isn't that right?" A CIA man said.
Charles Xavier, staring at Erik, took a deep breath before glancing at the CIA man and staring back at Erik. "No. I'm sorry, but I'm with Erik. We'll find them alone."
Erik had a slight smile on his face.
"What if I say no?" A CIA man asked
"Then good luck using your installation without me." Charles Xavier replied.

Charles, Erik, and Raven walked up the steps into the former radar installation. Hank was already there.
"I call it Cerebro. As in the Spanish for "brain." Hank said
"Yes." Charles replied with laughter in his voice.
"Okay, so, the electrodes connect Charles to the transmitter on the roof. When he picks up a mutant, his brain sends a signal through a relay, and then the coordinates of their location are printed out here." Hank explained.
"You designed this?" Raven asked, impressed.
"Yeah." Hank replied shyly.
Charles went to Cerebro and put it on his head.
"What an adorable lab rat you make, Charles." Erik said with amusement in his tone.
"Don't spoil this for me, Erik." Charles replied.
"I've been a lab rat. I know one when I see one." Erik replied in warning.
"Okay, great. Are you sure we can't shave your head?" Hank asked.
"Don't touch my hair." Charles responded.
"Okay." Hank whispered before going to the control of the machine.
Hank turned on the machine, and as it glowed, Charles yelped out in pain and gripped the handlebars in front of him. Charles could see the mutants all around the United States.
"It's working!" Hank replied with excitement.
Charles was feeling many mutants when he felt the presence of a strong mutant awaken their abilities. Beside the mutant was another mutant. It was at that moment that Charles felt a pain in the leg of that mutant, but what shocked Charles the most was that the pain was caused by another mutant firing a gun at him.
The mutant that was shot was then strapped down to something Charles could not see well, and then he felt the mutant transform himself. He was not human any longer. Charles felt as the mutant slowly died.
Charles screamed and pulled Cerebro from his head, and took deep breaths.
Around the room, worried looks were focused on Charles' face.
Raven rushed to his side as Erik asked, "What the hell happened?"
Charles shook his head. "Sorry, it's my fault. Let's try again." Charles put Cerebro back on him. This time, he decided not to go back to where that mutant had died.

Andrew woke up to the smell of breakfast. His wife was not in their bed; she was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. He guessed Andrew put his hands to his head. A headache had been there since last night. When they had made it to the top floor of the parking garage after he shot the demon in the leg, he looked at his son, and that was when he saw it. There was a glow around his body. Andrew only saw this glow when looking at the mutant, so seeing it on his son, he knew what it meant.
Andrew shook his head. "No. No. No." he whispered. Andrew took a deep breath to calm himself. He got up and went to the mirror in his room. He saw the bags forming under his eyes. Andrew didn't sleep much last night, his mind entirely preoccupied with his son.
Andrew got into the shower, which usually helped him to think. He needed an heir; that's when his thoughts went to Mary and her pregnancy. If it's a male, I can get rid of Noah, he decided. We didn't find out till late that Mary was pregnant, so even though I'm against doctors, we will go to the doctor's office after we drop off Noah at school.
Andrew stopped the water and grabbed a towel, draping it around his lower body. 'I'm not going to kill Noah.' Andrew decided 'I will send him away and tell him to never come back.' He dried off, putting on his priest uniform, before walking out of his room and into the kitchen. There, he saw Mary chopping some vegetables. Andrew came up to her, put his arms around her, and his hands went to her belly. "I pray it's a boy." Andrew said.
Mary shook her head as she said "I pray it's a girl. We have a boy. I would like a girl." Andrew frowned and pulled his arms away. "You can hope for a girl, but don't pray. We don't need to be canceling out each other's prayers." Andrew walked away after saying that he was going into the dining room.
Noah woke up from nightmares. The first one he saw was the man that his father killed, and he just repeated to Noah that he was a mutant, that he was a monster just like him. The second nightmare was of his father finding out he was a mutant and trying to kill him. Noah refused to accept that his father would try to kill him, even if he did figure out that he was a mutant.
Noah got dressed and walked down the hall to the dining room, where his father was already. His father had a new paper in his hands, reading it. His father never glanced away from the newspaper, and he didn't say anything to Noah.
"Good morning, Father." Noah said.
"Morning." His father said not to look at his son and to keep the conversation to a minimum.
It was then that his mother walked in with plates filled with vegetables, fruits, scrambled eggs, and bacon. She put the plates in the middle of the table and placed a single plate in front of Andrew and Noah. Mary sat down with her own single plate.
Everyone waited for Andrew to say a prayer before they started grabbing pieces of food with their forks and putting them onto their plate. Once Noah was done with his food, he got up from the table and kissed his mother's cheek before grabbing his backpack and running to the bus stop that was not far from their house.
Once Noah left, Andrew announced, "We're going to the doctor today."
Mary had a surprised look on her face before asking. "We don't usually go to the doctor. What are we going for?"
"You have difficulty getting pregnant and keeping babies, so we will do it differently this time and have a doctor to look over you. I also want to know the gender of this baby." Andrew replied.
Mary winced at what Andrew said; she hated being blamed for why they never had another child.
"Alright," Mary replied with her head held low.
***
The results from the doctor were good news on every end. The baby looked healthy, and it was a boy. Andrew had a broad smile leaving the doctor's office.
"This is great news, Mary." Andrew said as they both got into their vehicle. Mary smiled as she replied, "It's great news."
"You don't understand, Mary. This is our new, fresh start." Andrew said.
Mary frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Andrew sighed. "You know how I tell people or demons because of the glow around them. Noah has that glow now."
Mary's face paled as she shook her head. She couldn't speak from the shock, so Andrew talked to her.
"I know it's going to be hard, Mary, but Noah is not our child anymore."
"Stop talking! Noah is still our child, and you will do nothing to him! Haven't you thought the reason Noah is a mutant is because of you!"
Andrew was in shock; he had never seen Mary talk back to him like this. Then anger pulsed through his veins. "How is it my fault that Noah is a mutant!?"
"Because you are a mutant. The reason why you see a glow on people who are mutants is not normal. You are a MUTANT!" Mary replied.
Andrew shook his head. "That's not true… Noah probably isn't even my child, you whore. Where does his white hair come from?"
Mary was over it now as she replied, "We're at a doctor's office now, we can check your and his DNA. Heck, they may find out that you and he are mutants from checking that DNA!"
There was silence in the car for a few minutes as Andrew tried to take deep breaths to calm down. "You're right." Andrew decided.
"So, what do we do now, Andrew?" Mary asked with tears in her eyes.
"We keep Noah, but I have to let him know that I know he's a de-mutant and that he can never use his abilities." Andrew decided.
"Why restrict him? Isn't it better that he learns his abilities so he can control them?" Mary asked.
Andrew shook his head, "There are too many people here who want mutants dead. Most of this town knows about them, and as soon as they see he is one, they will expect me or someone else to purify him."
"The we move." Mary decided.
"No, we will not leave this town." This town is the Malak legacy. If we left, then it would be the same as having no future heirs to the Malak name. "We stay tonight, I will tell Noah. After school, he and you will stay home. I will be the only one going to the church. I don't need him to make any mistakes, and I need you to keep a watch on him." Andrew replied.
Mary nodded, and they took off back to their house, but Andrew only dropped Mary off as he drove away to his church.

Noah was on the bus getting home from school, and to say he was popular would be an understatement. Everyone wanted to be friends with the boy whose father owns the main church in the town. Not to mention that Noah's family was the richest in the town. The kids on the bus gathered around him as they spoke to him.
The first stop was Noah's bus stop, which stopped right in front of his house. It was the only stop that stopped at a house courtesy of his father's impact with the school. The school even offered Noah's father to have his own personal driver and car, but his father declined, saying that the boy needn't be spoiled.
Noah walked along his long driveway to the front door and opened it to yell at his mother that he was home and that he would be playing outside. Noah knew his father was gone, as the main car was gone.
Mary answered from the kitchen, "Alright, just be careful!"
Noah went behind his house, walking along a football field away. If he was going to test his abilities, he couldn't let anyone else see.
Were getting into the movie X-Men First Class. Charles Xavier saw Denzel die From Andrew and saw Noah awaken his abilities. Did it come to shock you guys that Andrew was a mutant or did you guess it already?
