Noah will be coming back to his small town in Virginia in the future. His story here is not over. Noah's body is now the body of a nineteen-year-old, but mentally, he is still fourteen. Romance will not happen this soon (If at all, I haven't decided if there will be romance). There will be characters who notice his beauty and may even flirt with him, but he will not reciprocate those feelings or actions yet.
The only reason I aged his body was so Charles and Erik were more willing for him to join their cause, and because, until proven otherwise, characters like Shawn will see him more as a threat. It also makes sense logically for Noah's abilities. For Noah, it is much easier to fast-forward a person or thing than to reverse. Noah could not have saved himself by reversing the damage. He was too weak at that time, and even if he wasn't, he had just gotten his abilities and had hardly used them. The scars will be permanent for now.
Sidenote, if I choose to have some romance, I'm leaning towards Emma Frost. A few reasons are that it says in X-Men First Class that she is in her late teens or early twenties. If I decided to make her seventeen years old, then she's only three years ahead of Noah mentally. Emma Frost also doesn't age in her diamond form, which helps their relationship value. The last reason is that I don't think she's a popular pick for romance unless it's in a harem and she's never the first chick... Just some thoughts, let me know what you think.
Do you want any romance in this story?
What character do you think will fit with Noah if you do believe romance belongs in this story?
Charles Xavier and Erik looked at the once fourteen-year-old. Noah had healed from the injuries, but scars were formed all through his chest and arms. Erik turned around from the body and kicked Harry's dead body a few times, getting his anger out.
"Seems the boy has aged five years, but his body is still that of a fourteen-year-old boy." Charles said.
Erik kicked Harry one last time before looking back at the boy. Erik took off his leather jacket and draped it over Noah's body. Erik then picked the boy up and walked out of the shed with Charles following behind.
"What happened here, Charles? Explain everything." Erik said, anger leaking through his voice.
Charles gazed at Noah cycling through his memories. "We can't take him back, come. This happened because of his father."
Erik clenched his teeth as he asked. "What do you mean this happened because of his father. Is this man his father?!" Erik pointed to the dead man, but before he could lash out in anger, Charles clarified.
"No, this man is not Noah's father. He is friends with his father. His father, Andrew, is an incredibly wealthy man who owns a large church in this community. This community is a cult. Most of them know of mutants because of Andrew. Andrew has claimed that all mutants are demons or humans that have contracts with demons. Andrew wants to purify all the demons."
"What do you mean by purify?" Erik looked on with shock.
"Burn the mutant on a wooden cross." Charles replied.
"Doesn't he know that his son is a mutant?" Erik asked.
"From Noah's memories, it seemed that his father was able to find out if someone was a mutant by just looking at them. I would assume that Andrew does know that Noah is a mutant, but he hasn't known long because Noah only awakened his mutant abilities a day ago."
"He has the ability to see if other people are mutants just by looking at them, isn't he a mutant himself then?" Erik asked, and metal fragments shook from the shed as his anger was getting the best of him.
Charles nodded. "Yes, I would assume that Andrew is a mutant who is killing other mutants."
Erik put Noah and laid him down in the back of the car. "We can't return him home, Charles. He is endangered there." Erik warned.
Charles took a moment to think. This wasn't a simple case. Charles looked into Noah's mind, and he has an attachment to his family, and as soon as he wakes up, he wants to go back home.
Charles and Erik talked outside the car. "When Noah wakes up, he will want to go back home." Charles replied.
"Then we force him to stay with us." Erik demanded.
Charles had a hint of a smile on his face. "How about we try to convince him first and see how that plays out."
Erik smiled at the compromise. "Wow, Charles never expected you to kidnap a child."
Charles shook his head. "Well, according to society's standards, he's not considered a child anymore.
Erik scoffed before heading into the passenger seat of the car. Charles got into the driver's seat and started the car.
There was silence in the car as both men were thinking about the recent event. 'The boy seemed to heal himself by aging himself.' Erik thought.
"What's Noah's mutant ability?" Erik asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Noah is able to fast-forward or rewind time on objects and living beings. Although rewinding time seems much more difficult, which is why, when he was dying, he could only fast forward his body and was not capable of rewinding it. A strong ability. Although he doesn't have much control over it. Noah only needed to fast-forward his body a year, but instead, he fast-forwarded it five years, and that was only because I stepped in to force him to stop." Charles remarked
Erik widens his eyes. Noah's abilities were much stronger than he thought. Erik was already picturing the potential. Noah could age someone until they died, or he could make people or even himself immortal."
Noah stirred in the back seat, slowly waking up. He opened his eyes to realize he was no longer in the shed but instead in a moving car. Noah tried to remember what happened as he lay with his eyes closed, staring at the ceiling of the vehicle.
Noah flinched, going through the memories of Harry torturing him. From the driver's seat, Charles also flinched. Erik was about to say something, but Charles stopped him. "Give him a moment." Charles said in Erik's mind.
Noah was remembering the last moments of Harry's torture when the door to the shed came flying open and a voice in his head commanded him to use his powers. Noah realized he was saved and used his powers to heal himself, and he was probably put into this car by his savors.
Noah sat up in his seat and looked at both men before asking. "Where are we going?" Noah was shocked by hearing his own voice. It was deeper than normal.
"We're going somewhere where mutants like you will be safe." Charles responded.
Noah had tears in his eyes from being found out. "I'm not-" Noah stopped when a voice in his head that sounded like the man who just talked to him said, "It's okay, Noah, we know you're a mutant, and we are mutants as well. You will be safe with us."
Noah shook his head, still not happy as he replied. "I just want to go back home."
Erik could feel his teeth clench from Noah's statement. He took a deep breath, reminding himself that Noah was a child and not the nineteen-year-old sitting in front of him.
"If you go home now, it will only be a matter of time before your father finds out you are a mutant and harms you, or worse, kills you. Harry, the man who gave you those scars, was your father's friend, and you see how he reacted towards you from finding out you're a mutant." Erik replied with brutal honesty.
Noah flinched from hearing the name Harry, but his face straightened in determination. "I still want to go home."
Charles gave his input, "Noah, can you please give us a chance first. See the place, let us try to teach you how to control your abilities, and then afterwards, if you still want to go home, no one will stop you from doing so."
Noah took a deep breath. Everything that had happened to him within the last couple of days was crashing hard on him. Noah wanted nothing more than to be able to hide from the world in the closet in his room, like he did when he was a young child.
"Alright, but you must promise that after you teach me how to use my abilities and how to control them, that if I still want to go home, you will let me."
Charles nodded his head. "I promise."
Erik scoffed as he thought, 'Just because you promised doesn't mean I do.'
Noah nodded at Charles but then looked at Erik expectantly as he said, "You too. Promise me that you will let me go home after you teach me to control my abilities."
Erik looked irritated, but to keep the kid with them, given what he had just gone through, Erik replied, "Alright, I promise as well."
Noah smiled until he noticed his lack of clothes. "I will be able to get some clothes once I'm there, right?"
Both Erik and Charles smiled as they replied, "That can be arranged." "Of course."
The car was quiet as Noah analyzed his new scars and the body that looked much larger. Charles, reading his mind, responded. "When you saved yourself with your abilities, you aged yourself to the body of a nineteen-year-old you." Noah nodded, remembering his hazy memories. Noah then remembered that he had heard a voice that got him to use his abilities, and then remembered the voice happened again in his mind when he first woke up.
"Was that you talking to me in my mind?" Noah asked the man driving the car.
Charles nodded, recalling that Noah knew nothing of him or Erik. "My name is Charles Xavier, and my mutant abilities allow me to read people's minds and project my thoughts, along with other things related to those powers."
"I don't like that ability." Noah remarked that he did not like the idea of someone knowing everything about him.
Erik released a laugh from his mouth, and Charles glanced at him.
"I'll try to keep out of your head unless it's to help you or if you give permission," Charles promised.
Noah nodded in appreciation.
Charles glanced at Erik, and Erik sighed, noticing it was his turn to talk about himself.
"My name is Eric Lehnsherr. My mutant abilities are to generate and manipulate magnetic fields." Eric noticed Noah looking on in confusion, so Erik simplified his explanation.
"I can control metallic objects telekinetically." Eric responded.
Noah's eyes widened in understanding before asking, "Can you show me?"
Eric nodded before controlling his metal coin to fly around the car. Noah opened his mouth in amazement. "Your ability is so cool!" Noah remarked.
Eric caught the coin in his hand and smiled a small smile at the compliment.
Eric's eyes then glinted in a calculating gaze as he asked Noah, "Can you show me your ability?"
Noah looked unsure as he replied, "I don't know, last time I used it, I couldn't control it."
Erik shook his head as he responded, "You were on the verge of death, of course, you couldn't control your ability. Eric then picked out a molded piece of bread from a small garbage bag in the car.
"Rewind this piece of bread to make it fresh again." Eric asked gently.
Noah looked unsure until he saw the encouraging look on Eric's face. "Alright, I'll try, but rewinding is much more difficult than fast-forwarding."
Noah looked at the bread, concentrating. His eye glowed blue, and the bread's mold disappeared, and then it looked fresh, and there seemed to be even some heat coming from it. Noah looked in shock. "That was much easier than before." Noah said out loud.
Erik smiled and then passed the bread to Noah. "You must be hungry after all your baby hasn't eaten anything in five years." Erik remarked.
Noah looked down at the bread in his hands, realizing that Eric was right. Noah's stomach growled loudly before he rushed to eat the bread. The bread was gone in seconds, but his hunger stayed. "I'm really hungry." Noah remarked.
Erik smirked, and Charles replied, "We will stop at McDonald's before we go to Headquarters."
Charles could feel the urgency from Noah's mind. The boy needed food, and he needed it now.
When they arrived at McDonald's, Charles ordered a large order of five burgers, three fries, and three drinks. That would give Charles and Eric a burger, a French Fry, and a drink, and give Noah three burgers, a French Fry, and a drink. They decided that, because Noah was half-naked, they would eat in the car.
Noah quickly downed the burgers, fries, and drink before Charles and Eric could finish the burger. "Well, also stop by a clothing store to get Noah some clothes before getting to headquarters." Charles remarked.
Eric nodded in agreement, and Noah looked relieved from eating and from the embarrassment of going outside without clothes.
When Charles and Eric finished their food, they started driving again. They arrived at the clothing store, and Eric was the one who decided to go in to grab a bunch of different clothes for Noah while Noah and Charles sat in the car waiting.
"Are mutants evil?" Noah asked.
Charles shook his head. "No, mutants are not evil. We are just different. Noah, you have been different all your life, even before you were a mutant. You have albinism. There are other people out there with albinism and all kinds of differences. They are not evil just because they are different."
"I didn't get hated for having albinism though." Noah responded.
"That's because your father passed it on to his cult following, and you were different because you were gifted by God. If your community knew that your condition had nothing to do with God's gifting, then they would also not like you because of that as well." Charles responded.
The car was silent as Noah thought about that. 'Mutants are not evil, just different people don't like differences.'
At that moment, Eric came into the car with a bag full of clothes. "I didn't know your size, so I just bought different sizes of what I think it is."
Noah nodded. "Thank you." Noah then picked up a blue long-sleeved shirt from the bag. He stared at it for a second; he was never allowed to wear anything in color. Noah slipped the shirt on and then grabbed a pair of tan pants and slipped them on as well. Once the clothes were on, Noah looked at the pants. 'Father is wrong, mutants are not demons, and I can wear clothes with color.'
