It was daytime. In front of the Washington Monument sat Charles and Eric, looking at the Washington Monument. They had a chessboard in between.
"I can't stop thinking about the other out there. All those minds that I've touched. I could feel them, their isolation, their isolation, their hopes, their ambitions. I tell you, we've started something incredible, Erik. We can help them."
"Can we? Identification, that's how it starts. Then ends with being rounded up. Experimented on, eliminated." Erik replied.
Charles took a deep breath and, with a slight roll of his eyes, replied. "Not this time. We have common enemies, Shaw and the Russians- they need us."
"For now."

Nighttime CIA Headquarters.
In a large room with a large window looking into it were all the mutants that Charles and Erik recruited, including Noah.
Noah sat the furthest away from the other, too nervous to be too close to them. They were all gathered in one room to get to know each other. Noah, after being brought here, was provided with his own room and as much clothing and food as he wanted.
Noah was dressed in a long-sleeved light blue shirt. It was his favorite color, and he wore long black fitted pants. The group would steal glances at him every once in a while, because of his appearance and because he was sitting away from them.
There was a small conversation being made, but Noah wasn't focusing on it, not until the blond pretty lady, Raven, announced, "We should think of code names, we're government agents now, we should have secret code names."
"I want to be called Mystique." Raven continued, but then Sean replied quickly, "Damn, I wanted to be called Mystique." Noah remembered his name easily because the guy talked a lot.
There were laughs from around the room when Sean replied to Raven.
Raven then replied, "Well, tough, I called it." And then she turned into Sean! Noah's mouth fell agape. He was not the only surprise, as others in the chairs were also shocked.
"And I'm way more mysterious than you." Raven, as Sean replied in Sean's voice.
Clapping went around the room, along with laughs from Angel, ringing out.
"Darwin, what about you?" Raven then asked after she changed back to her pretty blond form.
Noah questioned if that was her true form. What if she were really some fat man disguised as a pretty woman?
"Well, uh, Darwin's already a nickname. And you know, it sort of fits. Adapt to survive and all. Check this out." Darwin said as he got out of his chair.
Darwin walked over to the fish tank and then hovered over it before plunging his head into the tank. Gills grew from the side of his face, making it so he could now breathe under water.
Noah was much more interested in Darwin's ability. If his ability is as strong as Noah thinks it is- that means he is immortal! Darwin then got his head out of the tank, and the gills went away. Once again, claps and excitement filled the room.
"Thank you, thank you." Darwin said.
"What about you?" Darwin asked, pointing to Sean.
Noah nearly rolled his eyes. He didn't like Sean very much and knew the guy would yap all night about his mutant ability and his code name.
"I'm going to be…Banshee."
"Why do you want to be named after a wailing spirit?" Hank asked.
Sean got up and then said, "You might want to cover your ears."
Then Sean waited for everyone to cover their ears.
Sean crouched down at the table in the middle and took a deep breath. Sean then blew out a loud whistle, hitting the large window, destroying it.
'That explains why he talks so much. Noah thought.
Some laughs filled the air once the window broke and Sean pointed toward Angel before saying, "Your turn."
Angel got up. "My uh, stage name is Angel. Kind of fits."
Angel then turned around, showing everyone her fairy-like wings.
"Beautiful." Noah said out loud without meaning to, making some people in the room glance at him. Noah's face reddens a bit.
Raven then asked, "You can fly?"
"Uh huh. And uh." Angel turned toward the outside and spat what looked to be a small fireball that hit the head of a statue."
Laughs went around the room once more. It makes sense since many of them drank, so they were tipsy. Noah thought.
"What's your name?" Angel asked, gesturing to Hank.
"How about Big Foot?" Alex replied.
'He knows his mutant ability already?' Noah wondered.
"Well, you know what they say about guys with big feet? And uh, yours are kind of small." Raven responded, which made the group burst out in laughter. Noah, on the other hand, did not get the joke at all. Raven smiled at Hank shyly, and Hank smiled back in appreciation.
Darwin looked at Alex as he asked. "Alex, what is your gift? What can you do?"
Alex looked nervous as he replied, "Uh, it's not, um, I just can't do it. I can't do it in here."
"Can you do it out there?" Darwin responded.
Then the group encouraged Alex to show his mutant ability out there.
"Alex! Alex! Alex!" chants went on through the room, and Noah couldn't help but chant as well. Maybe it was the uplifting mood or the atmosphere that made him feel like he was a part of something here.
Alex sat up and walked outside the broken window. "Get down when I tell you." Alex warned as he stepped out of the broken window. Everyone stood up to get closer, but not crossing the window themselves, including Noah.
"Get back." Alex said, seeing everyone with their heads poking out, looking at him. They moved back behind the wall but noticed they couldn't see anything, so they poked their heads back out.
"Get back!" Alex now yelled, but they didn't move, and neither did Noah.
"Whatever…" Alex said, preparing himself.
Red rings shot out of his body in many different directions, one splitting the statue in half and catching it on fire.
Large claps went off, and Angel jumped up and down.
That left one last person. They all looked over at Noah. Noah looked nervous before saying, "Uh, as for a codename, I like Chronos…"
Darwin put his hand to his chin as he replied, "Like the Greek God of time?"
Noah nodded his head up and down.
"Alright, pretty boy, so what do you control time or something?" Alex asked.
Alex went inside the room to join everyone else when he asked Noah that question.
"Kind of." Noah said with a strained smile. "Well, what are you waiting for? Show us!" Raven nearly yelled.
"Alright…" Noah said. Noah looked at the damage to the statue outside and then focused on it. His eyes turned blue, and so did his hands. Noah then raised one hand at the statue, and then the statue started to fix itself. Slowly at first, then all at once. Once the statue was totally fixed, Noah's eyes dimmed tell they turned normal.
Noah turned around to see them all staring at his mouth agape from surprise.
"You're amazing!" Angel said, approaching him, putting her hands in his.
Noah froze for a second, his face turning red. There were claps all around the room until Noah said, "I can do more than just that…"
Sean looked at Noah as if he were seeing a ghost. "You can do more?"
Noah nodded. "Show us." Angel whispered before backing away.
Noah smiled. "Okay!"
Noah turned back to the statue and focused on it once more. This time, his eyes and hands glowed a light golden yellow. The perfect statue was starting to get damaged again, first on the head of Angel, then its body was cleaved in half by Alex, and finally it was set back on fire.
When Noah turned around, he heard claps, cheers, and eyes filled with amazement. Noah felt something stir in his chest. Noah felt a belonging with these people that he had never felt before. Angel went up to Noah with a drink in her hand. "I haven't seen you drink yet, Mister Chronos." Noah was at a loss for words when the bottle was pushed into his hands. Surely, he shouldn't drink right. He's too young and may get into trouble with Charles and Erik. Noah was about to decline, but that was until he saw the look of acceptance in Angle's eyes. Noah brought the drink to his lips and endured the strong heat that went through his chest as he gulped it down.
"Whoa, pretty boy, slow down!" Angel said with laughter.

"Plane leaves for Russia in an hour," Moira said as she, Charles, and Erik walked down a long hall quickly.
"I'm telling you these kids are not ready for Shaw." Erik replied
"I think they're going to surprise you. They are an exceptional bunch of young people." Charles said as they turned the hall.
"What the hell?" Moira said with confusion and disgust.
They turned to see a broken statue, a destroyed window, and inside the mutant that they recruited, partying.
"What are you doing?!" Moira yelled in anger.
They all stopped partying and looked at Moira, Charles, and Erik.
Noah, drunk, would have probably been scared of their judgment and disappointment. But instead, he was trying to keep a straight face and failing as smiles spread across his face.
"Who destroyed the statue?" Moira asked.
"It was, Alex." Hank replied. Alex looked back at Hank with anger for snitching.
Sean then said, "Well, Noah fixed it and then destroyed it again."
Noah would have probably been mad at Sean by now, but all he could say was. "I did do that, didn't I?" There was a large smile on his face, but he kept it at bay, trying to keep himself together before he would burst out laughing.
"No Havok! We have to call him, Havok. And that Chronos! That's their names now." Raven said excitedly.
Raven then stepped forward with excitement. "And we were thinking, you should be, Professor X. And you should be, Magneto."
"Exceptional." Erik responded.
The three of them walked away disappointed, but not without Charles saying to Raven, "I expect more from you." Charles then looked at Noah. "Fix this place up." Noah nodded to confirm he heard.
Noah was still smiling, that was until Erik pointed at him and said, "Noah is mentally fourteen and physically nineteen, do not let him drink."
They then walked away. Noah was now frowning, now that Erik gave his cover away. All the mutants in the room looked at him.
The scientist Hank, who was the most curious, was the first one to ask, "How?"
"Um, I got injured really bad and to heal myself, I fast-forwarded my body, but I couldn't control my ability, so I fast-forwarded five years, to be exact."
Angel's face paled, and she walked over to the side, throwing up. After she was done, she whispered, "I flirted with a child."
This chapter went much like the script of the movie with Noah having little impact but I promise you that he will have impact in the next chapter.
