After Quin leaves, Anna remains standing still, looking off in the direction he left with a worried expression.
Sid sighs, drawing Anna's attention back to the matter at hand.
"Got anything to say?" Anna reprimands Sid with a glare, and Sid shakes her head profusely in denial.
"All right then, let's keep going towards the lowest floor. Lead the way."
She nudges Sid with the knife, and Sid continues moving.
They keep walking, passing by a few unsuspecting gang members on the way before arriving in a hall room that has all sorts of treasures encased in glass all around them.
"What is this place?" Anna questions.
Sid leads her to respond.
"The boss's hall of treasures. Everything here is valued more than the lives of the gang members and was attained by the boss along his various escapades. No one in the gang even dares to lay a finger on these things."
"I see," she responds, unimpressed.
They begin walking through the collection as Anna scans through the items as they pass.
Most things are fragile items like glass and ceramic sculptures, paintings, and perfumes. But there are some unusual items as well, like a disassembled shotgun, a dinosaur bone showcase, a cracked human skull, some weird-looking statues, most likely idols, and a book.
Anna looks at the book for a moment and notices its patterns. It is a black book with blue lines streaked across its center, and its title reads:
The Coming of the End
Anna doesn't have much time to dwell on this before she hears voices coming towards them, one of which she recognizes as the big thug who hit her before.
Not wanting to be spotted this time around, she instructs Sid to hide with her behind one of the displays.
Three guys walk in. They go about discussing whatever they were talking about when one of them points out,
"I could have sworn I heard people in here."
He stops to look around.
The other guy, not wanting to put up with it, insults him.
"There is an exit on the other side."
The first guy feels stupid and stops looking around.
The three of them leave.
When the coast is clear, Anna and Sid get up from their hiding spot.
Anna is relieved to have not been spotted, and in her relief, she mistakenly knocks down one of the displays that was present there, sending it shattering onto the ground.
Sid shrieks witnessing it, she can feel her soul leaving her body as she knows the blame for this is going to land on her.
"What have you done?!" she exclaims as she stares at the broken remains on the ground.
"It was a mistake," Anna shrugs it off lightly. "Forget about that, who allowed you to talk?"
Anna scolds her, finally snapping and stabbing the tip of the knife into Sid's back.
But Sid's reaction is not what Anna expected. She continues resisting Anna. The treasures were clearly as valuable as Sid had stated them to be, and the fear of what might happen to her made her throw away all sense of self-preservation.
After the fear of the knife was gone, Anna began struggling to hold Sid down, and Sid struggled to get free. Luckily for Anna, Sid was still bound by the bed sheets.
Amidst the struggle, the knife stabbed even deeper into Sid's back, causing her to jerk in pain.
Noticing the blood soaking through the sweater and touching her hand, Anna let go of the knife, allowing Sid to get away. Although she had threatened her, Anna had still not come to terms with actually killing someone.
Standing opposite her and noticing Anna's hesitation, Sid mocks her.
"Coward."
Anna gets angry hearing the comment but is unable to refute it, seeing as she was a coward.
Damn it, I messed up big time.
She is resisting me now. There is no way she will listen to my threats again.
All my plans are about to go down the drain because of that stupid sculpture.
Looking at the broken sculpture between her and Sid, an idea comes to Anna's mind.
That's it. The sculptures.
An evil grin spreads across her face as she is about to execute her vengeance.
"All you had to do was let us go in peace, not to much to ask for seeing as it's your fault we are in this situation to begin with, but even that is too much to ask from you. Alright then, if I'm not leaving here alive, then neither are you."
Sid doesn't understand the taunt at first, but when Anna begins moving towards the sculptures rather than her, she understands what is about to happen.
If you insist on depriving me of letting me go home, I'll take away your home from you.
Anna goes about from table to table, destroying all the artworks that were on display.
Sid tries rushing over to stop her, but a strong shove from Anna is enough to send her hurtling to the ground due to her lack of balance and Anna continues on her rampage.
At some point, she stops trying to resist Anna and remains on the floor, motionless, with her eyes wide open as she looks at the devastation caused by Anna.
She had already given up, seeing that no easy death awaited her and there was no way out of this for her.
Just one of those items was worth more than her life, and Anna had destroyed over twenty of them.
After Anna was done wrecking the place, she stood still for a moment, regaining her composure, then walked over to Sid, who was still sitting on the floor with a dead expression on her face.
She picked up Sid's knife from the floor. Even after that, Sid does not react, still too stunned to even muster the strength to cry.
Anna walks over to Sid and takes off the jacket she put over her, then she crouches down and begins cutting all the ropes that were binding her.
"You'd better get up and get moving quickly," Anna states in a knowing tone, having expected Sid's reaction to be something similar to this.
She gets up and walks in front of Sid to meet her gaze.
"Now we are in the same boat.
It's either die right here on this ship or escape to see another day.
The choice is yours."
Anna turns around and begins exiting the scene.
"But make it quick.
I don't have time to waste."
