Still on the way to Quin's cell, they arrive at a place from where Anna can see the full view of the sea they are currently on.
It's mesmerizing, if only the circumstances under which she is seeing it were different.
While looking over the horizon, she notices a boat off in the distance, driving towards the ship.
'What is that?' she asks Sid.
Sid looks in the direction Anna indicated, and, spotting the object, she clarifies.
'It's probably a boat with more survivors or supplies?'
'Supplies?' Anna questions. 'Aren't all the supplies you guys have been stealing on this ship?'
'No,' Sid responds. 'The supplies the gang has stockpiled are way too much to be stored on this ship, so we have outposts on land where we store them and periodically go to resupply.'
'What greed,' Anna replies.
If what she is saying is true, then it might be necessary to get the locations of some of those outposts from her before we leave. Just one of them could have the base fed for months.
'Do you think we could steal one of them?' Anna asks.
'If you get lucky. All the boats are parked at the base of the ship. All you really need to get on are the keys,' Sid responds.
'And do you know where I can get one of these keys?'
'All the superior members of the gang have their own boats, so if you could steal one of their keys, you would be good.'
'How many superiors are there?'
'Well, including the boss himself, there are six of them.'
They finally arrive at the cell where Quin is being kept.
'Here we are,' Sid explains as she gestures for Anna to open the door.
Anna, being cautious, opens the door slowly and peeks inside to see if it was a trap. Seeing that the coast is clear, she makes Sid walk in first before following in after her.
'Sid! Is that you?' Quin's voice echoes from deeper inside the cell. 'Sid, I know that is you.'
Anna dawns a relieved expression upon hearing Quin's voice, which sounds as lively as ever, indicating that he is safe.
They walk to his cell door, and the first face he spots is Sid's.
'I knew that was you—'
His voice cuts short upon seeing Anna's face.
'An... Ann. Anna!' he yells, spotting her, and with a worried tone he begins questioning her.
'Are you okay? What are you doing here? Is she threatening you? You better not do anything to her, Sid, or else.'
'I'm the one in danger,' Sid responds before getting punched by Anna.
'I'm alright, Quin. I came here to set you free,' Anna clarifies as she begins unlocking his cell door.
'What?!' he exclaims in bewilderment at their situation.
'We don't have a lot of time, so I'll explain along the way. Get up, let's go.'
Anna walks over to Quin and gives him a small hug first before testing the keys and unlocking the shackles on his hands.
Quin gets up and looks at Sid, being held hostage by Anna.
'And what about her?'
'Hostage,' Anna answers flatly as she looks up to see if she can get the chains that were used on Quin down. There is no way, so she forgets about it.
'Let's go. We need to get Zane,' she instructs as they begin their journey to his cell on the lowest floor.
'Isn't he on the lowest floor?' Quin questions. 'Do you have the keys for that region?'
'We will figure that out when we get there,' Anna explains.
'And how will we get off the ship?'
'We will need to steal the keys from one of the executives to be able to get to the boats under the ship, and we will use those to escape,' Anna clarifies the plan she came up with along the way to Quin. It has a lot of gaps, but it's the best they've got.
'Is Catherina one of these bosses?' Quin questions.
'Yes,' Anna responds after getting confirmation from Sid. 'What is it about Catherina?'
'Well, you see, just a while ago she came here to retrieve me but didn't have the keys, so she told me to come to her when Sid let me out,' Quin elaborates further. 'That is why I was yelling for Sid when you came in. She told me she would think about releasing the rest of you if I came to plead to her personally.'
Anna gets annoyed hearing this.
'Did you really believe what that woman had to say?'
'I know, but it was the best I could do. It sure beats waiting to die in a cell.'
'Oh, forget it, let's go,' Anna brushes off the topic.
'No, don't forget it,' Quin buts in again. 'If I can get into her room, I can look for the boat key in there and steal it.'
Anna immediately refutes this idea.
'No, are you crazy? You can't put yourself in danger like that. She is an executive. You don't know what she could do to you.'
'Got any better ideas?' he questions.
Anna doesn't, so she remains silent.
'Then I'm going. You go to the lowest floor and set Zane free. I'll meet you guys where the boats are and we will leave.'
'But Quin,' Anna still protests, now clearly worried about him.
'I'm going to be alright. You should be worrying about your own safety. You don't know what you could encounter on the lowest floor, so be careful.'
He looks over at Sid and questions her.
'What does this key look like?'
'It's a fat key that looks like the type you would use on cars, just a bit bigger, and being that Catherina's favourite colour is yellow, you wouldn't be able to miss it,' Sid clarifies.
'Alright then, Anna,' Quin states, steeling his resolve. 'I'll be going now.'
He looks at her with resolution and eyes filled with worry.
'Good luck. And be safe.'
Then Quin departs towards the party hall as Anna looks after him in worry.
