"Sugar, make sure that the crew is briefed upon their return."
BB had stayed with Scott every minute until the rest of the crew had returned and then made him a few beers.
"What do we do about this?"
"I think I don't want to do this."
"And that thing you don't want to do is?"
"We have to speak with my father."
As the sound of BB's proclamation hit Sugar's ears, his eyes widened to show the pair of baby blues.
"The same one that-?"
"Was the world's greatest crook and treated me like a pet? Yeah. We need to find him and explain everything."
"Sir, don't get too ahead of yourself now."
"I've already made up my mind. Scott's life means more to me than any vendetta ever could."
"Are you expecting someone?"
Lia came into the captain's quarters with her hounds dragging a man behind her. He was Alexander.
"Yes, tie him up below deck. Just make sure he is well fed and I will have the doc put a translator in his ears later."
Lia nodded before she and Sugar left the room. BB sat there with his tied up friend. I won't leave you like this. Even if it's the last thing I do, I won't leave you like this.
"We need to talk about BB."
Sugar and Lia had met up below deck but were both still stupid enough to let the king listen to their conversation.
"He's not himself."
"No, I think he's more of himself now than he ever has been around us."
"That can't be the answer. He's just not that happy and he and Scott have known each other since before Backtown was ever even established! If that ever happened to me, I don't know what I'd do."
Lia's face changed to a more relaxed tone as she looked at Sugar with a calmer point of view.
"He doesn't know what he'll do. I don't know what he'll make you."
"I guess you're right."
Sugar was more relaxed as they waited for Dr. John to come back down and to finally be able to do his job. Addiction was pretty common on the Tempest Tide.
"Captain wants you up top."
