Chapter 30 - Graverobbers

BB and Scott were joking around when Sugar had found himself inside the eagle's nest whilst Lia slept below. She would do anything if it meant not working. She would move the world if she didn't have to pick up her handkerchief. At that moment, she'd found herself being in the company of some odd people and was paying Sugar to watch out for her because she was almost blind. She never really knew what he looked like. From what she could understand, he had a bowl cut and blue eyes.

"How's the sleep down there?"

"Great! My nose hasn't been this clear in a while!"

That was her entire life. Her family had owned factories and made the family mansion next to a factory and that smoke isn't good for one's lungs. BB later gave her lung treatment after he kidnapped her from the family estate.

"Nice to know. But one thing you probably don't know is that currently, you're not sleeping you bat!"

That hadn't really clicked in her head. Whilst watching from the sidelines, BB found himself proud. He's mine alright. After some time of the duo going through a back and forth, Sugar found himself sleepy. The reason he crawled into the eagle's net was to have a place to rest up between chores and to have a place where he could skip chores.

"What are you looking at?"

"Perhaps one of the greatest tragedies to ever happen."

"BB, we really need to find you a date."

"Not like there's anyone my age running around."

"Well, we have a time machine. We could go and talk to a few guys from D.O.W.N."

BB smiled. He actually smiled. There was no pressure on him as he was happy with those he cared about. From time to time, he would think about those that he was around back in those days, and he would feel thankful for it. Though, what was there to be thankful for? He'd been banished from his home, Backtown, twice!

"D.O.W.N. What a weird bunch those guys were. Some might even believe them to be insane."

"They are insane."

"It takes one to know one."

"That, I'm sure of."

"Possibly proud of."

"Absolutely."

After the laugh had passed, Scott had walked around the captain's quarters.

"Do you remember when we met?"

"Of course. Me and Eisenhower broke into your house, and you tackled me before I saved your life."

"Then put these things in my skull."

"You got better."

"Eventually."

Scott didn't like to be reminded of his past crimes. What kind of mad man would ever take pleasure in such a thing? Most likely Scott.

"Well, blabbering about the past is most definitely not going to make us happy. Can you tell me any bits of your plan to steal the body of Alexander the Great?"

"Simple, we hop on the ship, since he's been cemented as a god, he'll most likely be well protected. This is where you come in."

"Ah, so we're security?"

"Yes, why else would I keep you around?"

Thanks to his extremely deadpan voice, BB's attempt at humor with his friend would've sounded to most like a genuine question.

"Anything you plan on doing with the body of a king?"

"Yes, we're going to be bringing him back. Just be ready for when it happens."
