c38 — Reappearance of Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku
"Boom!"
Son Goku slowly sank into the sea, thinking to himself: That guy... I definitely hit him with my Kamehameha just now, yet he didn't even have a single scratch. What's stranger is that his power and speed have risen even higher. Could it be that he really predicted all my attacks?
However, what Son Goku didn't realize was that Super 17 hadn't simply seen through his moves—he had absorbed the energy of Goku's shock waves. The more ki he absorbed, the more his power and combat efficiency continued to increase, far beyond normal limits.
"Uh-huh!"
Super 17 and Dr. Myuu hovered above the ocean's surface where Son Goku had fallen.
"Come out, Son Goku! That pitiful attack won't be enough to defeat me!" Dr. Myuu shouted triumphantly.
"Boom!"
The once-calm ocean suddenly erupted, huge waves soaring into the air. A fierce golden aura burst from beneath the surface as Son Goku rocketed skyward, surrounded by a blazing storm of ki.
At that moment, Son Goku no longer appeared as a small child. His body had transformed once again black hair now crimson, eyes sharp and golden, fur covering his torso, he had returned to his ultimate state, Super Saiyan 4.
He had decided there would be no more holding back. This was his strongest form, and he intended to end both Super 17 and Dr. Myuu right here.
Seeing the completely transformed Son Goku, Dr. Myuu was momentarily stunned. He had no idea who this towering, fierce warrior was, and the overwhelming pressure of his aura froze him in shock.
"Y-you… who are you!?"
Son Goku looked at Dr. Myuu's panicked expression and said calmly, "It's only natural you'd be surprised. I am Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku!"
"Super Saiyan 4… Son Goku!!"
Dr. Myuu was completely dumbfounded. He never imagined that the small-bodied Goku could transform into such a colossal and powerful form. Not only had his size and appearance changed dramatically, but the power radiating from him was absolutely overwhelming.
"You are indeed very powerful, but there's no way you can defeat a Super Saiyan 4! Go to hell!"
Son Goku glared coldly at Super 17 and shouted.
"Whoosh!"
A crackling shockwave of golden ki formed between Goku's hands, and he hurled it straight at Super 17, striking him head-on.
Seeing his energy blast connect, Goku quickly followed up both palms glowing as he unleashed a relentless series of ki shockwaves, hammering Super 17 with explosive force.
"Boom!"
Yet what Goku didn't realize was that Super 17 felt no pain at all. Instead, his expression showed something disturbingly close to pleasure.
"Ah-ha!"
Watching Super 17 calmly take every hit, Son Goku grew even more determined. His aura surged violently as he drew out even more energy, unleashing his most powerful shockwave toward Super 17's chest.
High above, Dr. Myuu watched with a sinister smile and thought to himself, You fool. As long as you fail to notice the absorption modules I installed inside Super 17's body, he'll keep evolving mid-battle. The longer you fight, the more hopeless your struggle becomes! Hahaha!
"Boom!"
Goku's barrage rocked the air above the sea, sending shockwaves crashing against a nearby island.
"Hahaha, yes! Keep firing those blasts!" Dr. Myuu laughed wildly in delight. "Every ki attack you unleash only feeds Super 17. The more you strike him, the stronger he becomes!"
"Whoosh!"
Super 17 was finally blasted down from the sky, crashing into the forest below the island.
Goku dove down after him, searching through the shattered trees for his opponent's landing spot—but before he could find it, Super 17 suddenly counterattacked.
"Bang! Bang!"
Their fists clashed in mid-air, shockwaves splitting the ground. Goku managed to drive Super 17 backward with a fierce kick, then followed up with another round of ki shockwaves.
"Boom! Boom!"
But after several direct hits at point-blank range, Goku began to notice something unsettling the strange look of satisfaction on Super 17's face.
"This is weird," Goku muttered. "It's like he's letting my attacks hit him… He said earlier he'd seen through all my moves. Could it be…?"
Pieces of the battle flashed through his mind, and Goku suddenly realized the truth.
Seeing the change in Goku's expression, Super 17 smirked, while Dr. Myuu, floating nearby, sneered knowingly.
"So, you finally figured it out," Dr. Myuu said mockingly. "But even if you have, it's too late! Every energy attack you've launched has only amplified Super 17's power! He can't lose now! Hahaha!"
Though Goku had guessed correctly, he still tested it by launching a 10x Kamehameha. As expected, Super 17 calmly absorbed the crimson beam through his palms.
Combining this with all that had happened earlier, Goku finally understood every ki-based move he used only fueled Super 17's strength.
Realizing this, he switched tactics and rushed in to fight hand-to-hand. But after several exchanges, Super 17 overpowered him completely, sending Goku crashing hard into the ground.
"Damn it, this is so frustrating!" Goku groaned. "If this keeps up, I'll be the one going to hell. Not that I want to last time I was there, the food was awful… By the way, where's Lin Hao? You'd think he'd show up now. Super 17's no joke!"
Goku lay bruised on the ground, unaware that Lin Hao was deep in meditation, on the verge of a breakthrough and couldn't come to his aid.
"Then, Son Goku go to hell!"
Super 17 hovered above him, forming a dense orb of black energy between his palms. Once complete, he hurled it straight toward the fallen Saiyan.
Just as it neared impact, Goku used Instant Transmission, appearing behind Super 17 and grabbing him, planning to self-destruct and take him down.
But to his shock, the attack had no effect. Super 17 emerged unscathed, while Goku's energy was completely drained his Super Saiyan 4 form collapsing as he fell helplessly to the ground, awaiting his fate.
