Working together, Son Goku and Android 18 unleashed a combined assault Goku's Dragon Fist pierced through Super 17's body, creating a massive explosion. Finally, Goku fired a finishing Kamehameha, sending Super 17 straight back to Hell. (The Super 17 Saga ends here. The story now shifts toward Goku's next evolution Super Saiyan Five and the coming battle with the Shadow Dragons.)

Next came Super Saiyan 4—the form Lin Hao currently possesses. It symbolizes sorrow, a transformation born from emotional pain and the primal essence of the Saiyan race.
In the original story, after being gravely injured by Baby, Goku felt deep sadness that he could not save Earth. As he gazed upon its image reflected like the full moon, he transformed into a Golden Great Ape. Consumed by instinct, he lost control—until Pan's tears reached his heart, allowing him to regain his reason and achieve Super Saiyan 4.
In short, the four Super Saiyan forms each mirror a core emotion: Super Saiyan represents anger, Super Saiyan 2 represents fury, Super Saiyan 3 represents joy, and Super Saiyan 4 represents sorrow.
Therefore, by uniting all four emotions into perfect harmony, one can transcend every limit and awaken Super Saiyan Five. (This is only my hypothesis, so please don't criticize it!)

Soon, massive golden dragons of pure ki spiraled into existence, roaring as they circled the endless space of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
"Give me a breakthrough! Hahaha!"
Lin Hao bellowed again, and his form began to change.
His crimson fur shimmered and shifted, alternating rapidly between black and silver-gray. After a few seconds, his hair finally stabilized now a long, flowing silver-gray mane that cascaded past his waist like living metal.
The red fur on his body transformed into a sleek silver tone, and his once-golden pupils now gleamed a deep, luminous violet.
A single silver bang hung over his forehead, swaying lightly with the wind of his aura, while a shining silver tail flicked behind him, brimming with primal power.
Bolts of blue lightning danced within his golden flame, and the ground beneath him trembled.
"Is this… Super Saiyan Five?"
Lin Hao clenched his fists, feeling the limitless power surging through him—an energy unlike anything he had ever known.
"This power… it feels as vast as the entire universe itself!"
He tightened his fists again, the raw force inside him surging like an unstoppable flood.
"Su-su-su-su…"
Waves of divine golden ki rippled in every direction, shaking the very space of the chamber.
Had Lin Hao not been inside the Spiritual Time Room, his aura would have spread across galaxies.
Super Saiyan Five's power was so immense that, as recorded in the manga's side notes, even Uub once described sensing it from Earth as though Lin Hao stood beside him.
Finally, Lin Hao exhaled slowly, allowing his form to revert to normal. He decided to remain inside for several more days to adapt to this new power without mastery, the form would be far too dangerous to sustain.

But to their shock, the dragon that emerged was not the familiar emerald Shenron—it was a dark, corrupted dragon radiating immense negative energy.
As it appeared, the sky turned crimson, and waves of malevolent ki spread across the globe, enveloping the Earth in shadow.
Moments later, the seven Evil Dragons dispersed to all corners of the planet, their presence filling the world with despair.
Through the telepathic voice of the Elder Supreme Kai, the group learned the truth: the negative energy accumulated from centuries of wishes had taken form. These Shadow Dragons were born from that imbalance and if not stopped soon, their corruption would consume not only Earth, but the entire universe itself.
