Valtor was bashed to a tree, letting out a loud groan, he struggled to get up, immediately a strong wind blew as Orea's eyes lit up with a greyish hue, her hair had gotten loose by this time and went everywhere
Are you okay, she checked on Valtor, before continuing her attack, I'll try to hold them off, she intensified the wind, the creatures tried to move but the wind held them back
Suddenly, amidst the wind, the creature who hit Valtor charged towards Orea from behind and was about to strike when a yellow flame struck it, causing it to wince in pain, it angrily turned to face Valtor who stood ready to attack, his eyes turned yellow,.. I'll handle this one, you focus on the other, he yelled while the monster began to pounce forward.
Creating balls of fire on both palms, Valtor lurched forward and shot fire towards it, the creature dodged his attacks and jumped aiming to pounce on him, while Valtor slid underneath it and shot fire at it's belly.
The creature fell with a thud with a groan but it hadn't given up yet, slowly it began to move, gazing sharply at Valtor who began to create fire around himself, ready for whatever it brings.
Sensing that the wind wasn't fully effective, Orea began to cloud the skies, causing it to go dark as thunder and lightning began to form. Attacking the creature before her, she drew down lightning and stuck while the creature evaded it, then suddenly pranced forward
Orea immediately drew out wind, breaking off tree branches and lunging them towards the creature. Again it tried to evade the attacks by running around but couldn't as it ended up getting hit by a large tree branch, causing it to fall to the ground. Once again, Orea called down lightning and immediately struck the creature before it could recover from the fall, it let out a loud groan while the sky shook with a loud rumble.
Sighing of relief, she glanced over at Valtor who seemed to be doing fine, his whole body was covered in fire while the creature he fought seemed to be recovering from a recent hit
You good? She asked
Yeah, just one more hit, he replied as he lurched forward with a blaze of fire, burning the monster completely while a loud screech was let out
Whoo! that took a lot of energy, Valtor drooped to his knees as the fire around him dissipated
Good job, Orea walked towards him, but something tells me we'll be seeing more of those things, she continued to watch the burning flames
Yeah, Valtor weakly replied as he sat on the ground
Are you okay? Orea turned to face him
Just tired, Valtor replied with heavy breaths, I guess I used up a lot of energy.
we've covered enough land for today, Orea replied as she glanced around, we should rest and continue on our way tomorrow
