Orea narrated her dream to Valtor as they continued to travel together
.... After they blindfolded me, I was pulled into a truck and they drove off, I began screaming for help till I screamed out of my sleep, that's when I realized I had been dreaming.
So let me get this straight, Valtor tried to understand, we were taken from our homes against our will and then abandoned here
Not abandoned, Orea glanced at him, remember the note you found on you?
'make a fire', he recalled,.. that was meant to be a clue,.. meaning we're here for a reason, he realized
Yeah, we just don't know what it is yet.
But what if we're not the only ones here, Valtor turned towards her,..what if there's more of us
I guess it's not impossible, Orea shrugged.
They continued on but suddenly came to a stop as they came across a small river.
A river in the middle of the forest? Valtor wondered as he dipped a foot in, it's quite deep, we'll have to swim through
Fine, Orea replied, I hope you remember how to swim
hope so too, Valtor began to get in.. aren't you coming?, he turned to ask but ended up swallowing his words as he began to watched her instead.
Orea began to tie her hair up, a few curly strands fell along her face as she tried, her long lashes dropped downwards as she seemed focused on her task..Valtor watched as the light seemed to accentuate her features, highlighting her cheekbones and plump lips, her dark skin glistening under the sun's warm rays
Okay, I'm ready, Orea who was oblivious to his gaze suddenenly blurted, bringing him out of his thoughts,
What?, Orea wondered as she subtly caught Valtor's gaze
Nothing, he smirked, causing her to grimace at him as she equally got into the water.
Getting out after a short swim, they stared at the massive land ahead
there's something about this part of the forest that feels different, Valtor pointed out as he clung to their 'bag' of consumables
I agree, Orea replied, I'm not sure how to describe it but this part feels a little more...real
They noticed that this part of the forest had some mushrooms growing here and there unlike it's other half, they also noticed strange sounds that seemed to echo out of nowhere
I really hope we're going the right way, Valtor glanced at Orea
Me too, she replied
....Growl!... a sound was heard
Valtor looked around for the direction of the sound,..Please tell me you also heard that
Orea nodded as she also glanced left and right, being mindful of their surrounding
A creature similar to the structure and size of a bear but with the face of a lion slowly approached them out of the woods,it's scary eyes glistened like a predator who just found its prey
Valtor and Orea subconsciously took steps back but were forced to turn around as another creature similar to the one in front of them walked out from behind, both creatures stood firm, ready to pounce while Valtor and Orea, breathing heavily in anxiety, stood back to back, both facing each creature
Whispering lightly, Valtor briefly turned to her, ..'Escape or Engage'?
I don't think that's up to us at this point, Orea anxiously replied as the monster in front of her began taking dangerous steps closer
