Valtor couldn't sleep, he kept tossing around for some reason, he sat up on hearing the rumblings coming from his stomach,.. he was hungry, of course, that explains his lack of sleep. He picked up the supply 'bag', .. empty,.. he didn't realize they had already run out of food
He glanced at the others, they were fast asleep, it wasn't daybreak yet. Getting up, he picked up his shirt and began making his way in search of fruits.
Much later, the sun began to rise, Orea felt it's warm rays penetrating through her melanated skin, she smiled as she got up, a yawn and arm stretching followed, she walked a little distance, running her hand through her long hair as she watched the sunrise.
Finally looking around, she noticed Kymani laying on the ground, still snoring but saw no signs of Valtor, walking through a few trees and back, she called out,..Valtor!, a number of times but got no response
Attempting to wake Kymani, she tapped him lightly several times, then decided to slap him since he refused to wake up
Oww!.. Kymani rubbed his cheek, as he finally opened his eyes
Sorry about that, she apologized, I've been trying to wake you
Good morning to you too.., he sarcastically replied while still holding his cheek
Morning, did you at any time notice Valtor leaving, maybe during the night?
No, Kymani replied, why?
He's not here, I've looked around and there's no sign of him
Kymani sat up and glanced around, did you also notice his shirt bag is gone too
I.. didn't, Orea stared at the branch where it previously hung the night before,..he probably went searching for food then.
..right?
That's my guess, Kymani lay back down, please wake me when he gets back, I'm starving.
Later that day, Valtor ran as fast as his legs could carry him, panting heavily, he paused taking deep breaths. He glanced back,.. I'm too weak for this
His eyes glowed, fire began forming around him but it dispersed almost
immediately ..shit!, it hurts..he gripped his side in pain
I guess I don't have a choice then, he picked up his pace and continued on his way.

Orea stared at the sky, before announcing it's noon time, and he's not back yet
Kymani glanced at her, noticing her worry,..maybe he had to go farther than usual to get food this time?
No, he doesn't, she replied rather anxiously, he may have gotten into trouble,.. come on, we're going to look for him, she began walking back through the bushes while Kymani followed behind.
As they walked, they continued to call for him but then Orea paused at some point on discovering something,..hey look, she picked up Valtor's shirt laying tattered on the floor
Valtor was here, Kymani concluded
And he's in trouble, she added,..notice the foot prints going this way?, she pointed at the faint foot prints on ground, observing the distance between each one,she continued, he was running,.. hurriedly and dropped the shirt.
Kymani stared at the footprints, maybe he got attacked again,.. they glanced at each other before running through the same direction.
Valtor rested under a tree when his legs could no longer carry him, I think I'm safe now, he ran his hand through his hair as he gazed at the sky...noon already, the others must be worried by now, he got up and began looking left and right, wondering how to get back to base when suddenly, a powerful blast shook the ground and Valtor was pulled down by a force he couldn't explain, worsening the pain in his side Forcing himself back up, he noticed a glint of light coming from a distance away
What...is that?, he gazed back at the route that should lead him back to base, then looked forward again..I need to check this out,..he began following the direction of the light.
Back at base, Orea sat still, glancing at the sky... sunset, she mumbled before staring at the ground
Kymani watched her from behind...we would've found him if he was there, he tried to assure her,..we followed his tracks, and even if we were too late, we would've at least found his body
Orea sharply glanced coldly at him
But we didn't,..he quickly added, which means he's alive and is probably on his way back.
Hey!,.. Kymani heard a voice say from behind him.. turning around, he noticed Valtor walking out of nowhere, he sighed of relief, see told you he'll be back
On noticing, Orea began walking towards Valtor with cold eyes
I know you guys must've been worried, Valtor began to explain as he got closer to Orea, but she shoved him so hard, he staggered back
Where have you been!, she snapped before he could even react,..you just left in the middle of the night without telling anyone, Kymani and I looked for you everywhere but all we found was your shirt looking all messed up in the middle of nowhere with no sign of you around other than some footprints which led us nowhere.
What did you expect us to think could've happened to you?, she paused as she got emotional...and now you just waltz out here stating the obvious, seriously?
Valtor stared at her bewildered by her outburst... I'm sorry, he spoke softly.
Sorry I got you so worried, though, I was in trouble, I managed to escape. But you're right, I shouldn't have left unannounced, I should've at least mentioned it to someone..
Orea suddenly enveloped him in a hug, cutting him off, her head resting under his chin while he hugged her back, though for a short while.. breaking up the hug, Orea stared into his eyes, her cold eyes back, ..NEVER do that again!
uhun..he quickly nodded
Valtor, I'm glad you're back, Kymani spoke up, but who's that?, he pointed at a figure standing behind him
Orea arched her head to see the girl she didn't notice had been standing there the whole time. She had shoulder length, wavy hair and a yellowish skin, her light brown eyes stared blankly at them
You guys meet Zara, Valtor introduced, Zara these are my friends I was telling you about.
Zara glanced at the boy with green eyes waving at her then the curly-haired girl
Nice meeting you guys, she said with a grin.
