Chapter 6 - — Library

Arthur stood in his library of memories, a completely blank space, like an unpainted white canvas. Standing in front of him was a man. Practicing the moonlight sword. He looked at Arthur.

"Ha...it's been a long time since I've seen another person in my restful years."

"Uh...hey there."

The man smiled. "You want to learn the way of my sword, don't you? Well, with a body like that. You definitely can't handle it." Arthur moved to quickly interrupt. "But. I think I could find something that could suit you. The man summoned two training dummies in front of him, in Arthur's mindspace, anything was possible.

"Now. Use that sword of yours to strike this dummy as fast and as strong as possible. Don't hold back."

Arthur stepped forward and put all of his muscle into driving his body forward and slashing the dummy across the chest as quickly as possible. Slicing its upper half clean off.

"Hm...very slow. Your technique isn't half bad. But that frail body of yours really drags you down."

'Shit, I thought this body wasn't half bad compared to the one I had back then...but it seems like this world has totally different standards.' He sighed. He spent a few hours being taught a special technique by the man. One that strained his body to the upper limit.

"Remember, don't use this unless you absolutely have to. It'll tear your body to shreds if you're not careful." Arthur nodded. In the time he spent in the library of memories, he realized that it was an absolute cheat code. He was able to train even while being unconscious. Although it didn't change anything about his physical state. It helped him perform movements better, but, it came at a cost. The man had warned him about using the library of memories. If his brain never rested and always spent time in the library, he would most likely die.

As Arthur departed from the library and woke up. The old man chuckled to himself. "It's nice to see the bloodlines still running."

The moment Revan and Arthur woke up, they departed the forest. In the daylight the fog was much more manageable, as they only needed to head in one specific direction anyways.

"So, where is the hideout that these mages use?" Revan asked groggily, still recovering from her short sleep. Arthur looked at her and responded. "I don't really know. But, I'd assume it would be the abandoned magic tower on the outskirts of Somer." Somer was a small town that pretty much nobody inhabited except for a few older people and their children. It was a place where people settled down after living lives that they couldn't continue to live after having children. It was a little sad, but not really.

They trudged up a steep hill. After which Revan was completely out of breath and looked like she was about to pass out. "Tch...look who's weak now..." Despite being out of breath, she decided she still had the energy to yell while Arthur looked at the view. "Shut it!"

He sighed and looked at the abandoned magic tower right on the outskirts of town. It was pretty eerie. He observed it for a few seconds before looking at her. "Seems like the perfect location to do illegal things, nobody in their right mind would go near something as creepy as that unless they were strong."

Revan struggled back onto her feet and sighed as she regained her composure. "Anyways...once we're done busting this tower. I'll give you that surprise I was talking about, Kay?"

"...why are you so adamant on giving me a surprise? You creep." Arthur stared down at her in disgust. "What? Why the hell would I be talking about anything like that...weirdo..."

Tired of exchanging insults, Arthur slid down the hill. While Revan followed instead taking a tumble. She had slipped and was rolling down. Before bouncing off a bump in the hill and ramming into the back of Arthur's head. Sending them both flying into the gates.
