Chapter 3 - — Zephyr

Revan's father, Morgus Zephyr, sat down with her across from Arthur and his father. Arthur stared at Revan, while she avoided his eyes. He was absolutely sure she had been transported to Arcadia as well, judging by her nervous reaction. He sighed. Before realizing his father had been staring at him for a solid minute.

"Ah, sorry father, I just zoned out for a minute…do you need something?"

"Yes. We were discussing about you becoming Lady Revan's knight."

As those words exited his fathers mouth, Cole felt like vomiting. Revan may have been the person he hated most in life. She mocked him at every opportunity in life, he didn't even know her personally. Yet she made it her mission to make his life a living hell.

"Uh...are you sure, father?"

"Yes. And don't try to complain. You've spent too much time lazing in your room. You need real life experience. You've already been taught the basics. So I'm sure you'll thrive. Now. You two leave us. We have something private to talk about." Arthur walked next to Revan out the front doors of the mansion. Once they left he heard her starting to laugh.

"So you're here too, huh? Lazing around?" She laughed a bit.

"Tch, I forgot my character used to be like this..."

"Well. Same here, I guess. Everyone in the castle was scared of me. I guess I had temper tantrums. Often. Anyways, did you get that message too?"

"Huh, what message?" He stared at her, dumbfounded. What in the world was she talking about?

"...don't tell me you haven't tried to open your status window." Arthur's eyes widened and he felt like bashing his head into a wall. It was obvious, if he was in the world of Arcadia, he could've at least tried looking at his status window.

'Status.' Sure enough, the blue holographic screen appeared in front of him.

[Name: Arthur Pendragon Class: None Race: ??? Level: 3 Skills: Basic swordsmanship.]

Arthur stared at the screen for a moments.

"Does yours also say...race and then just a bunch of question marks?"

She nodded. "I mean, we're human, but it might be misinterpreting it. What skills do you have?"

"Just one. Basic swordsmanship." She laughed. "Ha, only one? I have three. Fireball, lightning bolt, and a weak ward spell."

"Tch, it's not like thats anymore impressive, I assume you're classless too?"

She nodded. "Mhm. Now, what are we gonna do about this predicament, oh great beta tester? I'm sure you know where to find some secret items."

"...so this is what this is about. You want to capitalize on my knowledge about the game." She nodded with a confident smile. "Exactly! But in exchange! I'll do something for you too!"

'The hell is she talking about...?'

[Revan Zephyr has requested to form a party confirm?]

He sighed.

'Yes.'

[You have formed a party with Revan Zephyr.]

"Now, where to first?" She smiled at him while walking ahead. "Honestly...I have no clue...but I'm sure I can figure something out if I jog my memory a bit."

They walked together down the road. Revan has hid some serious information from him. Something he would probably never find out. The gifted youngest daughter of House Zephyr was blessed with an eye that could see through lies and truth. But also granted her the ability of foresight. When Revan looked at him, he saw him clenching a sword in front of her. Bleeding out into a grassy meadow while fighting a monster.

'...shit.' She bit her fingernail.
