..
Annoying.
chirps chirps
I hate all things that could make sounds like that.
I hate birds, especially ducks. What do you mean you can walk, swim and fly? Pick an ecosystem dude.
chirps chirps
Those annoying little things always stole my sleep, but today it's different.
I will ignore their noise and sleep in an hour. No, make that two.
I rolled to the other side. I lay on my ear and put my pillow in the other. The sound was muffled, but somehow it just made it more annoying. I think it was because I was trying to see if it worked or not, so I was actively listening.
They continued chirping like anything. Like they were trying to show off their symphonies or something.
How do you say no one likes your song in bird language?
As time passed, I got used to the sound, like they were white noise, and I was about to fall asleep again. But then their chirping changed.
chi-chi-chirp CHirP chiR-pP
They couldn't even pick a song.

Annoyed beyond measure, I shot out from bed and opened my window.
"You think you're chickens! If you want, I will treat you like one!" I screamed first thing in the morning.
But then I was caught off guard to see that they were only two of them. I swore there were more. Thousands perhaps, trying to take over the world or something.
They both stared at me. I stared right back at them.
"You think you're still dinosaurs or what?"
I slowly brought up my hand, and finally, they flew away. They probably knew instinctively that I was about to fry them on the tree.
I plopped back on my bed and tried to sleep. But at that point, I had lost all drowsiness, and with a grumble, I had to go to the bathroom to freshen up.
I washed my face and brushed my teeth after taking a piss. My piss was rather yellow, so I made it a note to drink after I head down.
I stared at the mirror in front of me, and a kid with messy ash blonde hair and bright red eyes stared back. You could tell, with no bias on my part, that this kid was going to be extraordinary in the future.
His chubby face was also showing budding handsomeness.
I brushed my teeth with my left hand because I slept weirdly on my right arm last night. I like to sleep with one hand under my pillow. But I wasn't sure what happened to it the rest of the night.
After I finished brushing, I stared at my clean face in the mirror. I tried to quirk up a smile, pulling my cheeks and making an arc with my lips.
My teeth were pearly white, just like All Might. But my smile was not so much. I would be honest, I smiled weirdly.
I kinda look like a bully.
Which was not a bad thing, I guess. Being a bully was not bad at all in my mind, as long as you pick who you bullied carefully.
"Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite," I said my future hero name, "The bully of villains. The Symbol of Power,"
Yeah, I wasn't trying to be like All Might anymore. Fucking Deku was going to replace him. I was going to surpass the Symbol of Peace instead.
"What are you looking at?" I said to my reflection.
"Greatness, that's what," I smiled wider.
After playing with my reflection for a few more minutes, I went out and headed downstairs towards my parents.
We ate breakfast together, where, for not the first time, I demanded more protein. I didn't know much, but I knew protein meant power. Both start with a P as well.
Afterwards, I head to the backyard as per usual. Both my parents used to work. Although my mother retired to become a housewife after they had me. I forced her to retire, apparently. Even as a baby, I was a menace that no babysitter could deal with.
At least that's what she told me. But I think she retired willingly because she loves me and was too stubborn to admit it.
Anyway, since both my parents used to work, we had a lot of money. I wasn't sure what their job was. But we were rich. Not rich rich but rich enough that we had the nicest house and the biggest condo in our neighbourhood.
I guess it was expected that I wouldn't be born to average parents. My father and mother had seeds of greatness inherited from me.
After I reached the backyard, I focused on my work.
Yeah, let's talk about my quirk.
Remember the man I ate? Well, apparently before he came to take my place, he had cried at the feet of a god to give him a boost in quirk. He was scared that he wouldn't be able to achieve the same thing that I did and requested a golden finger.
What a loser. He saw what I did in the future and immediately knew he couldn't do it too. So god gave him a little upgrade.
But since I ate him, I get all the benefit.
Haaa, it was great to not be a loser.
The boost was basically making my quirk more powerful. Unlike what I was supposed to have, my quirk came in like the already awakened state, which I achieved way later in my life.
My quirk, explosion, allowed me to sweat nitroglycerin-like sweat from my body, which I can ignite to cause explosions.
Anywhere in my body.
Not only that, this was my base quirk without an awakening. Unlike my base being limited to only the sweat glands on my palm, this time I could do it anywhere on my body.
My quirk had become more powerful!
This was one of the many reasons why I was sure I would surpass myself. This time, my quirk had a way higher potential. It wasn't limited to versatility either; the amount of sweat and its explosive power increased too.
Thank God that wanna be Bakugo was such a twerp.
Now it's all mine!
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" I laughed a villainous laugh while both of my parents watched me from the window with concern.
I could already imagine myself being as powerful as I was when Deku gave me One for All, normally.
"What a bad era to have a tragic backstory and become a villain!"
I put out both my hands and aimed at the tree in the backyard. Specifically at the tree where the birds were perching this morning.
My eyes narrowed in malice.
"DIE!!!"
BOOOOOM!!!
Suffice it to say, my mother was about to beat me.
And also, my quirk may be too powerful this time around to be used so carelessly. It wasn't just the small sparks I could create at all.
I successfully blew up the tree into smithereens.
A fate my villains would share, I was sure.
Just wait, All for One! You'll do more than run this time around!
"KATSUKI BAKUGO!!!!!!!"
"Crap,"
Immediately, I ran away.
"COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!"
"Don't look for me in the park!" I screamed, running towards the city park.

"DEKU! You quirkless little twerp!"
Now, in the park, I made a beeline to the broccoli hair that tried his best to fit in. It was clear even from a glance that he was the kind of kid that no one wanted to play with, someone who they wouldn't accept no matter what he did.
And it wasn't because he had no quirk either. That wasn't something someone could tell instantly. And even if they knew, many children had no problem with playing with a quirkless friend.
We all need a helpless civilian to rescue when playing hero.
Boulders stood atop pebbles after all.
It was the massive beta energy that the green-haired boy gave off that made him the victim. His whole vibe was screaming Bully me. And plus, he doesn't even have a father.
But the worst of all, he didn't know his place. Even when playing hero, he always voiced how he wanted to play the role of a hero too. Some people didn't like someone who didn't know their place.
"Kacchan!" To my dismay, Deku gave the brightest, most innocent smile towards me when he saw me come.
I gave him a smack on the head, hard enough to plant his head on the sand.
"I told you to stop with that stupid smile!" I said, "Life is not sunshine and rainbows!"
"Ahhhhh Kacchan," he said, clutching his head, "I was just happy to see you."
"And why would you be happy to see me?" I asked with a tilt before my head snapped around the park in realisation.
"Did you extras bully him again? Huh!"
Most of the children, both around my age and some even older, immediately retreated in fright.
"And you!" I pointed at one kid on the slide. "Don't play with that! I play with it!"
Some kid in the past once shat himself while sliding down. His excuse being a 3-year-old who had diarrhoea. Since then, other children were off limits on the slide in my park.
"Stop it, Kacchan! No one bullied me anymore!" Deku said quickly while restraining me.
"As they should. Who do they think they are? Me?" I turned towards everyone in the vicinity. "Don't ever go thinking you're better than anyone else. You're all extras, you're all equal."
I will not tolerate any discrimination. Everyone was clearly beneath me.
I huffed and finally turned back to Deku.
The supposedly main character of the world. I'll admit, I like what he became in the future. He was remarkable enough that we could stand together, shoulder rubbing feet.
"And you!" I said and pulled at his collar, "Don't ever go thinking someone can bully you. You're my sidekick for God's sake."
"Right, right," he stammered.
"Now," I said, dropping him on the ground. "Everyone play!"
And so, I spent the rest of the day playing in the park.
Time flies quickly when you're having fun. Before I even knew it, the sun was already trying to hide behind the horizon. The world was wreathed in warm orange, somehow filling my body with slight exhaustion.
The kids left the park one by one. Some went home by themselves while the weaker ones went home with their parents.
Deku and I sat on the monkey bars. It was the highest point in the park so of course I sat there.
"Kacchan," he whimpered behind me. It was a tell that he was going to say something that pisses me off.
"Spit it out before I dig it out from your throat."
Taken aback, I saw his face relax a bit.
"Do you....do you think that I can be a hero too?"
I felt a tick appear on my head. How many times was he going to ask me that? He had always asked that question ever since the doctors told him he didn't have a quirk. But knowing what I knew, I always told him yes.
I raised my hand; he backed away while shielding himself. But rather than hitting him, I pointed at him.
"You will be a hero! Or are you saying that you aren't going to do what I say?"
"N-no, that's not it at all!"
"Are you calling me a liar?"
"Absolutely not!" he yelled, before quickly whimpering back again.
Silence.
A long silence which I didn't like at all.
"Nerd," I said in the end, "You're the neardiest nerd to ever nerd."
He looked at me, confused.
"And I'm not a nerd. Not at all," I said, pointing at myself.
"But I do need a nerd to become the strongest," I said in the end.
"You see, you're nerd enough to nerd for both of us. And my quirk is awesome enough for both of us," I said. Truly, my quirk was way too powerful for one person.
"That's why we will both be heroes, and you will be a sidekick," I said and then moved closer to him and pointed at his shirt.
It was an All Might T-shirt. It had a picture of All Might standing heroically.
"This is me," I said, pointing at All Might. Then I moved my finger at the shadow of his silhouette. "And this will be you."
I was pretty sure that should be insulting, but I saw his eyes gleam over and sparkle brightly. He turned to me with a wide grin that curved so much it also made a circle.
One thing I liked about Deku was that he spoke my language. For example, he probably translated my word nerd into something like smart. He understood me better than anyone else.
So even if I didn't say it correctly, I knew he understood my words.
My shadow. The thing that was always with me. Always running after me, behind me, trying to catch up.
That's right, Deku. You don't need to think about anything else. Always run after me. Always stay behind me, and before you know it, you will be the second best.
Because I was going to be first.
"Thank you, Kacchan," he said, tears gathering in his eyes.
"Crybaby," I huffed and turned away.
He was supposed to be All Might's heir. The one who should replace him. He was going to even get a quirk. But that was beside the point; the bum was going to lose the quirk in the end anyway.
But yes.
I will allow him to run behind me.
Straight to the top.

Author : Can't believe the original readers were a fan. By no means am I Shakespere now but my writings sure were tough and cringe. But suprsingly, I think it works because of the MC being child Bakugo.
I made some changes this chapter regarding Bakugo and Deku but the spirt of the original fanfic remained the same.
