Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : A Cute Little Boy and A Space

Dinner time arrived.

As always, she was the one who had cooked the meal for everyone. However, she did not truly care about the labour. She still needed this fake family for now to initiate her plans for revenge. After all, every member of this household was already on her hit list.

Entering her small room afterwards, she felt a sudden wave of nostalgia. Since waking up from her rebirth, she had not yet taken a clear, deliberate look at her living quarters.

This room consisted of nothing more than a thin mattress, a single pillow, a blanket, and a small closet to keep her few clothes in. She let out a short, bitter laugh.

"This family really treats me so well. I certainly will not disappoint you in return." Yu Qi snorted.

Suddenly, she remembered Wang Fu Ya's homework request. It would certainly be a great show tomorrow at school. She prepared herself for sleep, but when she finally closed her eyes, her mind began to wander into strange territory.

"Master, you are finally here! I will not feel bored anymore."

Yu Qi heard a cute, high-pitched voice coming out of nowhere. She quickly snapped her eyes open, and a shocking scene appeared right in front of her.

She was standing in a place that she did not even recognise. This was somewhere that looked like it had come straight out of a fantasy novel. Was that a huge pagoda? Looking at her surroundings, she saw that the entire area was encircled by majestic mountains.

"Where am I? What is this place? And why am I even here in the first place?" Yu Qi said while looking around.

"Master, please don't ignore me."

YuQi felt the distinct sensation of someone pulling on her pants. She looked down and discovered a little boy. A little boy? And is that a small horn on his forehead? I must be dreaming, she thought. She remained silent, processing the sight.

The boy was actually waiting for his master to say something, anything at all. A stray tear began to form in the corners of his eyes.

"Master." The boy called Yu Qi out again.

"Who are you?" Yu Qi finally asked, her voice cautious.

"I am your guardian." The boy replied earnestly.

Yu Qi's expression became flat and unimpressed: --___--.

'Now, I am certain this is just a dream.' Yu Qi thought, nodding to herself as if she had solved a puzzle.

"Master, this is not a dream! I am a real thing, and this place is real, too!" The boy spoke up quickly.

Now Yu Qi was truly freaking out. 'This boy can actually hear my inner voice? That is impossible, right?' She gave the boy a piercing, questioning look.

"Master, I can hear you loud and clear. After all, you are my master." The boy said, giving her a wide, beaming smile.

What? She reached out toward the boy to test his reality. She touched his head, his small body, and last but not least, the tiny horn.

"Then, please explain all of this to me." Yu Qi sat down right there on the ground.

"This place is called Sere. This realm holds unlimited knowledge in all areas of study. All of that information is stored inside this pagoda. You can take a look for yourself later." The boy continued, "This is your private space."

"How did this place become mine? And why exactly am I your master?" Yu Qi asked.

"The one who can enter this space is always my master. You have entered this space, so you are my master." The boy showed a bright smile on his lips.

"So, according to your statement, there was someone else who could enter this space before me?" Yu Qi asked.

"Yes, a very long time ago. But now that you can enter, I will not have to feel lonely anymore." The boy took hold of her fingers and gave her another big smile.

Yu Qi's expression finally softened. The boy looked incredibly cute. She moved her other hand to gently pat the boy's head. "Then, what is your name?"

"Master can give me one! I actually don't remember what my old name was." The boy said excitedly.

"Bo Ya, then." She really did not put much thought into the name.

She felt she had no real talent for naming people. "Bo Ya" was a Japanese-inspired term she recalled that meant "boy."

"Thank you, Master!" Bo Ya also lacked any sense of naming conventions, so he was perfectly happy with his new name.

"Okay, I have to go to school tomorrow. How am I supposed to get out of here?" Yu Qi asked Bo Ya.

"Master just has to think about leaving this place. Oh, I forgot to tell you. Master can enter this space either with your spirit or with your entire physical body. If Master is ever in a dangerous situation, Master can hide inside this space. It is very convenient, isn't it?" Bo Ya said.

"Yeah... thank you, Bo Ya. I will come back tomorrow." She closed her eyes.

In the blink of an eye, she was already back in her room. When she opened her eyes again, she saw her familiar ceiling.

'I really have come back. I never thought I would get a 'cheat' item like this. This is going to be fun.' She thought to herself.
