Jin's excitement from earlier had completely disappeared once he was full.
The little boy had insisted on walking by himself after lunch, only to begin dragging his feet less than twenty minutes later. His tiny eyelids grew heavier with every step until he eventually stopped altogether, rubbing his eyes with both fists.
"Daddy…" he mumbled sleepily.
"Hm?" Hiro turned toward his son, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm sweepy…"
The beta stared at the child for a brief moment before crouching in front of him.
"Come here."
Before Jin could climb onto his father's back, another figure stepped forward.
"I'll carry him," Izack offered, lowering himself beside the other man.
"…Why?" Hiro frowned almost immediately. He couldn't understand the reason behind the unnecessary kindness this man insisted on showing him.
"I'm sure you've carried him enough already." Izack smiled awkwardly. "Let me do it this time."
