Hiro immediately grabbed the alpha's forearms, trying to pull them away from his waist.
"Let go!" he frowned, struggling against the unexpected embrace. His voice carried more confusion than anger. "What are you doing?!"
Izack didn't answer.
Instead, his arms tightened ever so slightly around the smaller man, as though he feared that if he loosened his grip even a little, Hiro would disappear the moment he turned around.
The warmth he had been searching for. The reassurance that Hiro was truly standing before him. For reasons even he couldn't explain, he simply couldn't bring himself to let go.
Rain poured relentlessly over the deserted road. Their clothes had long been soaked through, clinging heavily to their bodies while cold droplets rolled down their faces and disappeared beneath their collars.
