Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

As Aurora's voice rang out in the classroom, a wave of stunned expressions washed over her classmates. They had never seen anyone like her before—her beauty was simply ethereal, a blend of grace and confidence that seemed to light up the room.

"Wow, when did this goddess enroll in our school?" one student whispered, eyes wide with awe, unable to tear their gaze away from her.

"Is she a new student? She's as beautiful as her name!" another chimed in, clearly smitten, their voice barely above a whisper as if speaking too loudly might shatter the spell she cast.

"Gosh, her voice gave me goosebumps!" someone else exclaimed, leaning forward in their seat, captivated by the way she carried herself.

"Look at her sitting next to Boo-boo; they look like two artificial beings!" another student joked, laughter bubbling up around the room, but it was all in good fun, a testament to the magnetic aura Aurora exuded.

The murmurs created a cacophony of excitement until the lecturer, just entering the room, slammed her hand on the table with a cold glare. Instantly, the chatter died down, and the class began, but the energy in the room was still electric, charged with curiosity and admiration for the new girl.

In the second row on the left, Freya sat fuming, her jealousy bubbling over like a pot left too long on the stove. She dug her fingernails into her palm, feeling the sting as blood began to ooze out, a physical manifestation of her inner turmoil. "Girl, calm down! You're bleeding," Lilith said, her voice a mix of concern and annoyance as she glanced at Freya, who was clearly losing her composure.

"How dare she touch my Boo-boo? He belongs to me!" Freya shot back, her possessiveness evident in her tone, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Aurora, who seemed blissfully unaware of the chaos she was causing.

"What's so great about him anyway?" Desirae Fixx, sitting in front of them, muttered with a scowl. Known for her crazy photography skills, she could make even a monkey look like a supermodel through her lens, and her jealousy was palpable.

"What makes him so special is that he's way better than your ex, your crush, and any future boyfriends you might have. So get that into your stinky skull, bitch!" Freya snapped, her anger flaring, her voice rising above the din of the classroom.

"Better than my crush?" Desirae scoffed, rolling her eyes. "If you met my crush, you'd be too busy peeing your pants!"

Freya opened her mouth to retort, but Lilith quickly held her back, sensing the tension rising like a storm cloud. Freya pulled out her paintbrush and began to paint, using her own blood as the medium. She was the best painter in the school, known for her legendary artwork that could attract real-life butterflies.

Lilith glanced at Freya, shaking her head slightly. "You're hopeless," she muttered under her as she looked at Freya's painting.

As the lecture came to a close, Aurora stood up to leave, gathering her things with a casual grace that made her seem even more enchanting. Just as she was about to step out, Kieran called out, "I'm Kieran! Let's get to know each other better sometime, Big Sis!"

Aurora paused, turning to look at him, her brow raised in playful disbelief. "Big Sis, really?" she thought, a smirk tugging at her lips as she took in his confident demeanor. She nodded slowly, a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes.

Kieran watched her leave, a satisfied smile on his face, when a voice rang out behind him. "Wasn't she the girl who gave you a shoulder throw in the hallway?"

"She is," Kieran replied, grinning widely as he made his way out of the classroom. His friends, Knox and Khaos, followed closely behind, each lost in their own thoughts, the atmosphere thick with unspoken tension.

Since it was the end of their only class for the day, they decided to head home. As they climbed into the car, Knox turned to Kieran, a teasing glint in his eye. "So, do you like her?"

Kieran's grin widened, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Guess?"

Knox shook his head, chuckling softly. "You're hopeless."

Khaos, sitting quietly in the back, remained silent but his aura got colder as he thought to himself, " Does she like him too?"
