Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Just as their car turned onto the main road, a sleek BMW sped into the parking lot, tires screeching. Two girls jumped out, both dressed in black, exuding an air of mischief. They were the Lane twins, known for their wild antics and their father's reputation as the best silicone mask maker in the city.

"We missed today's class," Mia said lightly, glancing at her wristwatch with a hint of annoyance.

"Escaping that oldie wasn't easy," Zoe added, catching her breath as she smoothed her hair back.

Mia raised an eyebrow, a playful smile creeping onto her face. "So, where to now?"

Zoe's eyes sparkled with mischief as she looked at her sister. "Let's go partying!"

Mia's smile widened, and without another word, they hopped back into the BMW, the engine roaring to life as they sped off into the night.

In a corner of the parking lot, Aurora leaned against her bike , the sun casting a warm glow on her as she scrolled through Kieran's social media page. She was on a mission, her first official case as a private detective, and she was determined to find any clue that could help her unravel the mystery surrounding him.

As she flicked through his posts, she remained calm. His page was filled with cute selfies, mouthwatering pictures of ice cream, and stunning shots of beautiful places he had visited. "Typical," she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes. "Just another guy living his best life while I'm here trying to piece together a puzzle."

But she wasn't going to give up that easily. She was determined to dig deeper. Just as she was about to scroll past another picture of him grinning with a cone in hand, her phone buzzed with a notification.

"Target on the move."

Her heart raced with excitement. This was it! She quickly mounted her bike, adrenaline pumping through her veins. With a determined look, she revved the engine and took off, following the tracker with a sense of purpose. "Let's see where you're headed," she said to herself, a smirk forming on her lips.

Meanwhile, at Mie's Villa, Lilith pulled up in front of the grand house, the engine of her car purring softly as she dropped Freya off. Just as Freya was about to hop out, she turned back with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "When is Ava resuming?" she asked, her voice dripping with anticipation.

"Tomorrow," Lilith replied, raising an eyebrow at her friend's sudden excitement.

"Good," Freya said, a wicked smirk spreading across her face. "Because tomorrow, I'm planning something big."

Lilith shook her head, a mix of concern and amusement in her expression. "Just be careful, okay?" she warned, knowing Freya's penchant for drama.

Freya waved her off, already sprinting toward the villa with a bounce in her step, her mind racing with ideas. Lilith watched her go, shaking her head with a smile before driving off herself.

Khaos sauntered down to the front of the Century Club, his charisma radiating like a beacon in the night. He had just dropped off Kieran and Khaos, and now he was ready to dive into the vibrant atmosphere that awaited him inside. The club was alive with laughter and music, a playground for the city's elite second-generation crowd.

As he stepped through the entrance, the pulsating beats enveloped him, and he felt the familiar thrill of the nightlife wash over him. He made his way toward a secluded chair in the far corner, shrouded in shadows, where he could observe the scene without being noticed.

Settling into the plush seat, he scanned the room, and there she was—just as he had anticipated. Was he stalking her? Absolutely.

Meanwhile, at the O'Briens Mansion, Kieran sat in the sitting room, lost in thought. The weight of the world seemed to rest on his shoulders, and he stared blankly into space, his mind racing with unspoken worries.

"Aren't you going to sleep, young master?" Little Dini's gentle voice broke through his reverie, her tone soothing and warm.

Kieran turned to her, a smile breaking through his troubled expression as he patted her head affectionately. "I'm going to sleep now, head mistress," he joked, trying to lighten the mood. Little Dini giggled, her laughter a sweet melody that eased his heart.

"Let me help you light the incense. Come on, young master," she urged, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. Kieran nodded, grateful for her presence, and led her to his room. Little Dini was much younger than him, but her maturity often surprised him.

Once inside, Kieran busied himself with arranging his bed while Little Dini prepared the incense. The familiar scent filled the room, creating a calming atmosphere. After she finished, he patted her head again, planting a soft kiss on her forehead. "Good night, Dani."

"Good night, young master. I'll go to sleep now. You should also get some rest," she replied, waving goodbye with a bright smile that lingered in his mind long after she left.

As soon as Little Dini was out of sight, Kieran opened his drawer and retrieved a small pill. Without a second thought, he swallowed it dry and lay back on his bed, closing his eyes as a wave of exhaustion washed over him.

Outside the O'Briens Mansion, Aurora perched on a tall tree directly across from Kieran's room. She had planted a tracker on him earlier in class, and now, with the help of a telescope, she had a clear view of his window.

Watching him enter his room with Little Dini, she couldn't help but wonder if he had a secret daughter. The thought nagged at her, but she pushed it aside, focusing instead on the task at hand. She continued to observe until she was certain he had drifted off to sleep, his breathing steady and calm.

With a determined glint in her eye, Aurora climbed down from the tree with practiced ease, her movements fluid and silent. She approached the mansion, her heart pounding with adrenaline as she navigated past security and surveillance.

Finally, she reached Kieran's window. With a soft thump, she landed inside his room.
