Chapter 20 - Chapter 19 : A Life in Shadows

Sophia's mind was reeling as she tried to process the Queen's words. She was trapped in a web of deceit, with no way out. The Queen's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if daring her to try and escape.

As she stood there, frozen in shock, Sophia heard a faint noise coming from the back of the throne room. It was a soft rustling sound, like someone was trying to sneak up on them.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Lady Emily, her eyes flashing with a fierce determination.

"Your Majesty," Lady Emily said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I see you're still trying to keep Sophia in the dark."

The Queen's expression was cold, her eyes narrowing as she gazed at Lady Emily. "Lady Emily, I thought I had made it clear that you were no longer welcome in the palace."

Lady Emily smiled, a wicked glare in her eyes. "Oh, I think I'll stay, Your Majesty," she said. "After all, I have some secrets of my own to share."

Sophia's eyes widened as Lady Emily began to reveal secrets about the royal family's past, secrets that would shake the very foundations of the kingdom. As she listened, Sophia realized that she was not the only one who had been living in the shadows.

The Queen's expression was growing more and more agitated, her eyes flashing with anger. "Lady Emily, I warn you, stop this now," she said, her voice trembling with rage.

But Lady Emily was beyond stopping. She was on a roll, revealing secrets and lies that had been hidden for years. Sophia was shocked, her mind reeling with the revelations.

As the drama unfolded, Sophia knew that she had to make a choice. She could stay and listen, or she could try to escape. But one thing was certain, she couldn't stay in the shadows forever.
