Sophia's heart was racing as she pushed her way through the crowded church, her eyes fixed on Prince Henry's back. She had to stop the wedding, had to warn him about Lord Thomas's sinister plot.
But as she reached the altar, she was too late. The priest had already begun the ceremony, and Prince Henry was repeating his vows.
Sophia's eyes scanned the church, searching for Lord Thomas. She spotted him standing at the back, a smug look of satisfaction on his face.
She knew she had to act fast. She took a deep breath and stepped forward, her voice ringing out across the church.
"Stop the wedding!" she shouted.
The church fell silent, all eyes turning to Sophia. Prince Henry's eyes widened in surprise, and Lady Victoria's face turned red with anger.
"What is the meaning of this?" the priest asked, his voice trembling.
Sophia took another step forward, her eyes fixed on Prince Henry. "There's a plot to harm you, Your Highness," she said, her voice urgent. "Lord Thomas is behind it."
The church erupted into chaos, with gasps and whispers spreading like wildfire. Lord Thomas's face turned pale, and he took a step back, but Sophia was relentless.
"You're the one who's been blackmailing me, aren't you?" she accused, her eyes blazing with anger. "You're the one who's been trying to destroy the royal family."
Lord Thomas's eyes narrowed, and he sneered at Sophia. "You'll never prove it," he spat.
But Sophia was ready. She had anticipated this, and she had come prepared. She pulled out a small piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to Prince Henry.
"This is a copy of the evidence I have," she said, her voice steady. "It proves Lord Thomas's involvement in the plot to harm you and the royal family."
Prince Henry's eyes scanned the paper, his face growing grimmer by the second. He looked up at Lord Thomas, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Arrest him," he ordered, his voice cold and commanding.
The church erupted into chaos as the guards moved in to apprehend Lord Thomas. Sophia felt a sense of relief wash over her, but it was short-lived.
As she turned to Prince Henry, she saw Lady Victoria standing beside him, a look of shock and horror on her face.
"Henry, what's going on?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Prince Henry's eyes met Sophia's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Then, he turned to Lady Victoria.
"I'm sorry, Victoria," he said, his voice gentle. "But I think there's something I need to tell you."
Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she realized what was about to happen. Prince Henry was going to break off the wedding, and Sophia's heart was about to be shattered.
