"It's Lord Thomas," the guard replied. "He's escaped from custody, and we think he's heading here."
Sophia's eyes widened in alarm, and she felt Prince Henry's grip on her tighten.
"We need to get out of here, now," he said, his voice low and urgent.
As they turned to leave, Sophia heard a voice behind them.
"You're not going anywhere, Your Highness," Lord Thomas said, his voice dripping with malice.
Sophia spun around, and her eyes met Lord Thomas's. He was standing in the doorway, a gun in his hand.
"You're coming with me, Sophia," he said, his voice cold and menacing.
Prince Henry stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. "You'll never get away with this, Thomas," he said, his voice firm.
Lord Thomas laughed, and he raised the gun, pointing it at Sophia. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice dripping with malice.
