Ruby's POV
The massive doors burst open as Elias charged into the room with Lyanna and a full military unit trailing behind him.
His presence hit like a physical force. The Alpha energy radiating from him was so intense that the enormous crystal chandelier overhead shattered instantly, raining down sparkling fragments.
Before I could blink, the soldier pinning me down let out an agonized shriek. The blade he'd been holding went sailing across the room, along with his severed arm.
"Elias!" the former Luna's voice cracked like a whip. "Have you completely lost your mind!"
Elias spun toward her and unleashed a bone-chilling howl that made the entire structure tremble. My eardrums nearly burst from the sound.
Every person in the room went rigid with terror.
Kate's complexion turned ghostly pale. "What are you doing? Are you actually declaring war against your own blood?"
He didn't acknowledge her words.
