Ruby's POV
The soldiers hauled me from the ballroom like I was some common criminal being dragged to execution.
Outside, a swarm of reporters had gathered on the red carpet, their cameras flashing incessantly. They had been waiting to capture glamorous shots of the wealthy elite, but the moment they spotted me being forcibly escorted out, they descended like vultures sensing fresh prey.
The blinding strobes made my eyes water as I tried to shield my face.
"What's happening here? Why is this woman under arrest?"
The guards remained silent, pushing me through the growing crowd with mechanical precision.
Then I heard a shrill voice cutting through the chaos, answering for them.
"She's a homewrecker who went after Lady Kate's husband and Alpha Elias! The former Luna had her detained!"
Naia. Of course.
She stood among the press pack, her face lit up with malicious satisfaction as she watched my humiliation unfold.
