"I don't have time to play games with you right now."
With that, Ella Grant slammed the door shut.
Stella Grant stared at the door that had nearly hit her nose, struggling to contain her anger. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on Ella's door again.
Three seconds later, Ella opened the door with a glare that could kill.
"Spit it out."
Stella's shoulders shrank slightly, but she mustered her courage and said to Ella , "Sister, this is my favorite dress. You must not have many clothes since you just arrived. Why don't you try these on?"
Another three seconds passed, and Stella's face darkened as the door was shut in her face once more.
"Ella Grant, I will make you regret this!"
Stella turned around in a huff, throwing the clothes into the trash can. Not satisfied, she kicked the bin twice for good measure.
Ella wasn't foolish; she could see that Stella was up to no good. It was clear that Stella was trying to pull a fast one on her.
At noon, Dalton Grant called Ella from the office.
"Ella Grant, this afternoon, I want your sister to take you shopping for some clothes. Look at what you're wearing every day—it's a mess! Hurry up and change; we have a family dinner soon. Learn a thing or two from Stella; don't embarrass the Grant family."
Before Ella could respond, Stella Grant jumped in excitedly.
"Got it, Dad! I'll make sure to dress my sister up like a fairy!"
Dalton Grant thought this time Elle might finally make things easy for him, but to his surprise, Ella immediately replied.
"I don't need to."
Dalton's voice turned serious. "You don't have a choice. Whether you want to or not, you're going."
"Then I won't go with Stella," Ella said, shooting a displeased glance at her sister.
She didn't want to create more trouble for herself.
Dalton snapped back, "Who else are you going to go with? You just got back; how many good connections do you have in Z City?"
Just then, Oliver Grant walked down the stairs, and Ella pointed at him. "You'll do."
"Uh?"
Oliver Grant was getting ready to head to the office when he heard his sister, EllA Grant, calling for him before he even reached the stars Stella Grant, always one for drama, chimed in, "Hey, big brother, Ellq wants you to go shopping with her to buy some clothes."
"But you're so busy with work. Maybe I should just..."
Before Stella could finish her sentence, Oliver nodded.
"Sure."
Stella froze in disbelief.
Did she hear that right? Oliver actually agreed.
Was this really her workaholic brother?
Just the other day, when she asked him to pick her up from work, he had made excuses about being too busy. Yet now, for something as trivial as shopping, he was bending over backward for Ella!
Stella was taken aback, momentarily speechless.
Oliver walked over to answer the phone, speaking to their father, Dalton Grant.
