Audrey's POV
I felt heat creeping up my neck, my cheeks burning. This couldn't be happening. The system wanted me to act out my erotic fantasies? The ones starring the two men who were now my stepbrothers? The same men who were currently somewhere in this building, probably training or plotting or whatever rich celebrity stepbrothers did?
Celeste turned back, noticing I hadn't moved from the elevator. "Audrey? You okay? You look a little flushed."
I forced a smile that probably looked more like a grimace. "Fine. Just... processing something."
I finally stepped out of the elevator, my legs feeling unsteady. Mia, I thought, tell me I'm hearing things. Tell me you didn't just say what I think you said.
"You're not hearing things, Audrey. This is real."
I followed Celeste toward the entrance, my mind reeling. What kind of quest is that? How is living out my deep fantasies supposed to bring a happy ending to this world? That makes no sense.
