After everything we'd discussed one thing became painfully clear. This wasn't coincidence that both men that are attracted to audrey were brought to this world.
And Dominic's confession... that had rattled me more than I wanted to admit.
He loved her too. We'd both been cowards in our old lives, too afraid to approach her, and now we were trapped here together, both wanting the same woman.
I couldn't just sit back and watch someone else win her affection. Even if that someone was my brother in this world.
Was that selfish? Probably. Dex had said she wasn't a prize to be won, and he was right. But this wasn't about winning. This was about finally—finally—having the courage to pursue what I'd wanted for years. And if that meant competing with Dom... then so be it.
