Our story begins in a collapsed society once known as the state of Virginia. Only one beacon of humanity was left. It was called Backtown. The city had a population about as large as today's Atlanta. The city was the size of Athens and was just as beautiful as Belgium.
"Gentlemen, I am willing to hand over the woman if all of the money is handed over to my colleague."
Bandits were outside the city as they kidnapped a scout. BB had found out they had a hostage and began by making some men position themselves with their backs to the wall. Their plan was to rapid fire through the wall and nearly kill the perp. Though, that was the point, make them think you're crazy.
"What is wrong with you people?"
BB, using the end eyes, saw that their tie had come. So, he, without proper consideration for bystander safety, threw a grenade. It was easily a relic of before in this new world. He screamed in pain as the next day, BB was taken for a disciplinary action.
"You know the rules BB. You run the cult and keep people out. Non lethally."
Without a care in the world, BB laughed in the new leader's face.
"I met the first mayor of this place many times. He would've done it himself and made up a new medal the next morning to give himself."
"BB, we're going to have to banish you."
With that news, BB made fast as he sent some of the cult members to Backtown's power plant and they charge a lot of batteries that would end up powering his new pirate ship. Later that night, BB had a few visions. They were something special as they showed numerous parts of the world in flames. It ended with BB seeing himself and Sugar crucified over the ruins of Backtown.
"We need to go."
"Why?"
Moving fast, BB formed himself a crew and told the cult to distract the government as long as possible.
"Because adventure and glory and whatever you kids want these days."
BB still had a sharp mind. He was almost as smart as Dials these days. Nobody was as smart as Dials. They all thought they were but then they got caught.
"Why are we here?"
Lia, a highborn noble, had been descended from Alexandria and looked so much like her. Whenever BB put these two together, he had nightmares of it for weeks.
"Well, to save the world. We're going to Alexandria, Greece. Roughly three thousand years ago."
"My furthest known descendant, she's named after that place."
"I know. We used to work together."
This was quite a shock. Most of the group that you know of were renowned as heroes for millennia after their passing.
"Really?"
Lia didn't know that she was staring in the wrong direction. Sugar, on the other hand, was more concerned with how BB had possibly lived so long. In his memory, he hadn't aged a day.
"Why am I here?"
BB, a simple old man walked to Sugar.
"See, I don't have much time left. But there always has to be someone with our gifts. The mind's power, intelligence!"
"So that's why you took me in?'
BB, had run a private orphanage that he used to raise child prodigies who would be artificially placed in high spots of Backtown. Sugar was one of them. He had been possibly the worst of his class and looked like he was a lot different from Dials and BB. He didn't even look like Lighter.
