Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 – The Monster’s Car

Keifer's POV

"That can't be right."

Ciel's voice cut through the speaker, calm but uneasy.

Even with the plane engines humming behind me, I could hear the shift in her tone — something was wrong.

"What do you mean, it can't be right?" I asked, glancing at my laptop.

"The GPS trace," she said slowly. "It's coming from a moving car. I matched the signal to the car's ID number – GH-7435-R."

My stomach dropped.

That number — no, it couldn't be.

GH-7435-R.

"Sht…" I muttered, my hand tightening around the armrest. Then louder, "**Sht!**"

"Keifer? What's wrong?" Jayjay's worried voice came through.

I took a shaky breath, eyes locked on the little red dot blinking on the map.

"That car… it's his. The monster's car."

The group went silent. Even the air around me felt heavy.

"Ciel," I said firmly, "keep tracking it. Find out where it is now."

"Already doing it," she replied. "It's moving fast – headed west, near the old harbor road."

I could almost feel my heartbeat against the seatbelt.

"I'm landing in twenty minutes," I said. "As soon as I'm down, I'm heading straight there."

"Keifer, wait – " Jayjay started, but I cut her off.

"If he's got them, I'm not wasting a second."

"Understood," Adrian's voice came steady. "Yuri, go to Keifer's house. Get Kieran. Bring him to my place – it's cool there, he'll be distracted from all this."

"On it," Yuri replied.

"Everyone else," I ordered, "stay connected. Ciel, don't lose that signal, not for a second."

I ended the call and leaned back, staring out the small plane window at the glowing city far below.

The monster I'd tried to forget… the one I swore I'd never face again… was moving closer.

And this time, he'd touched what was mine.

"You picked the wrong family," I whispered, voice cold.

The seatbelt light blinked on. We were about to land.

Yuri's POV

The drive with Adrian was quiet – the kind of silence that says more than words.

When they reached Keifer's house, Adrian pressed the bell.

A maid opened quickly, bowing slightly.

"Good evening, Sir Yuri, Sir Adrian," she greeted.

"We're here for Kieran," Yuri said.

"Young Master Kieran is in his room," the maid answered. "I'll take you to him."

They followed her upstairs.

Kieran sat on his bed, gaming headset still on.

"Keifer sent you?" he asked.

"Yeah," Yuri smiled. "Come on, you're staying with us at Adrian's for a bit."

Kieran hesitated, then nodded, setting the controller aside.

The ride to Adrian's was lighter – as if Kieran's mind had already moved on from the chaos.

When they arrived, his eyes lit up at the sight of the massive gaming lounge.

"Can I – ?" he began.

"Go ahead," Adrian said softly. "Play all you want."

In moments, laughter filled the air.

Adrian's grandparents appeared from the sitting room, concern etched on their faces.

"Everything alright?" his grandmother asked.

"Not yet," Adrian replied. "But Kieran's safe. That's what matters now."

He turned to Yuri.

"Let's go. Keifer's going to need us soon."

They left the warmth of the house – leaving Kieran safe behind – and drove off into the deepening night, where somewhere high above, Keifer's plane was just touching down.
