Adrian's POV
Everything after that moment felt like chaos.
Keifer went down right after Jayjay fainted in his arms.
For a split second, I thought we'd lost them both.
Felix yelled for someone to call an ambulance, but I stopped him.
"No hospitals," I said firmly. "That'll only cause more trouble. My family doctor can handle this quietly."
Everyone hesitated — but they knew I was right. The last thing we needed was police, questions, or reporters.
"Let's move," I said, standing.
Rory and Blaster carried Keifer carefully to the car, while David helped me lift Jayjay.
Ciel was already on her phone, voice calm but urgent.
"Grandpa, it's me. Please have Dr. Lin ready at the house — now."
Within minutes, we were on the road.
No one said a word. The only sound was the low hum of the engine and Jayjay's faint breathing.
I kept glancing back — at Keifer, pale and still, and at Jayjay, her hand half-open, like she'd been reaching for him even after fainting.
When we arrived, the doctor was already waiting.
We carried them into one of the guest rooms — two beds side by side.
"Set them down carefully," Dr. Lin said, snapping on his gloves.
The air smelled of antiseptic.
It felt like a mini hospital room — cold, sterile, quiet except for the doctor's movements.
He checked Keifer first — cleaned the wound, stitched it with calm precision.
I watched every move, fists clenched.
That stab could've been worse. Way worse.
Then he checked Jayjay — her vitals were fine, just exhaustion and shock.
"She'll be okay," he said. "They both need rest."
We thanked him as he packed his things and left, telling us he'd check back in the morning.
I went downstairs afterward.
The others were already there — showered, changed, sitting around the long dining table.
The smell of breakfast — not dinner — filled the air. Pancakes, eggs, toast.
Right. It was already morning.
I sat down beside Felix. No one said much at first. Just quiet chewing and tired faces.
Then Ciel broke the silence.
"What really happened to Jayjay?" she asked softly, glancing at me. "She wasn't like that when I first met her… but that look in her eyes tonight—it wasn't just fear."
We all turned to Yuri.
He sighed, setting his cup down. "It's… a trauma thing. Blood triggers it. A few years ago, something happened — she saw someone die right in front of her. Since then, whenever she sees blood, she snaps. It's not her fault."
The table went silent again.
Then Ciel spoke, calm but thoughtful.
"I think Jayjay has a little control over it. Not completely, but her mind… it knows who not to attack."
Calix frowned. "How can you tell?"
Ciel leaned forward. "Think about it. The first time it happened — when Keifer accidentally hit her nose with the volleyball — she didn't attack him. The second time, when you guys fought that guy… Ram, or whatever his name was — she was in the same room as Keifer too. But she didn't attack him then either."
She looked around the table. "Her mind knows who's safe. Even in that state, she recognizes him."
I nodded slowly, realizing she was right.
"That… actually makes sense," I said quietly. "It's like some part of her still knows him — maybe because she trusts him more than anyone."
Ciel smiled faintly, proud of her observation.
Ci-N chuckled. "Wow, look at you, Miss Genius. Didn't know you were analyzing psychology now."
Ciel rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Ci-N."
The table finally relaxed, laughter breaking the tension for a moment.
Then Yuri leaned forward with a teasing smirk.
"Okay, smart girl," he said. "But tell me one thing — how'd you hack Keagan's phone so fast when Edrix couldn't even trace it?"
Everyone turned to her again.
Ciel just smirked, resting her chin on her hand.
"Let's just say," she said slowly, "I know more about that phone than Edrix ever could."
Edrix groaned. "Okay, that's offensive."
We all laughed softly — the first real laugh since last night.
But deep down, I knew the peace wouldn't last.
Because Keifer's father was still out there…
and this time, he knew exactly where to strike next .
