"That… can't be right," Ciel whispered, her eyes widening as she stared at the laptop screen. The glow from it reflected off her face, pale and tense.
Everyone leaned in closer.
"What do you mean?" Adrian asked, his tone suddenly sharp.
Ciel's hands hovered over the keyboard. "I tracked Keagan's phone, and the GPS signal is moving—but it's not in the city anymore." Her voice shook slightly.
The air inside Eman's Restaurant turned thick. The laughter that once filled the space faded, replaced by silence and the glow from Edrix's laptop screen. Everyone's attention was fixed on Ciel as her fingers moved rapidly, eyes focused and alert.
Keifer's voice came from the phone speaker — tense but steady.
"Ciel, can you find the car's number from Keagan's location?"
Ciel's headset mic flickered with a small blue light. She didn't look up.
"Give me a second... got it. Plate number—GH–7435–R."
There was a short pause.
Then, Keifer's voice burst through the speaker — sharp, furious, shaken.
"Sh*t!"
Everyone froze. Even the quiet hum of the restaurant seemed to stop. Jayjay's heart skipped.
"Keifer?" she said softly.
"Ciel, check again," he ordered, his tone low but heavy. "That car… it belongs to someone I know. Find out where it is now — right now."
Ciel's fingers flew across the keys, her face pale under the screen's glow.
"Okay… tracing... it's still moving, heading west — looks like near the old harbor road."
"I'll be there in twenty to thirty minutes," Keifer said, the sound of a pilot in the background which means his in a plane . "Yuri, listen—go to my house and get Kieran. Don't let him out of your sight."
Yuri stood up immediately, her expression serious. "Got it. I'll head there now."
Then Adrian leaned forward, calm but firm.
"Yuri," he said, "after you pick up Kieran, bring him to our house. It's quiet there — it'll distract him from everything happening."
Yuri nodded. "Understood."
Jayjay's eyes darted between them all — her chest tight with worry. Ciel's fingers never stopped moving. Edrix was beside her, helping to track the car's route. The Section E crew wasn't just a group of schoolmates anymore; they looked like a real operation in motion.
Ciel finally looked up from the laptop, her voice low.
"I'll keep tracking it. Just hurry."
Keifer's voice softened slightly before the line cut.
"Don't worry. I'm coming."
The call ended.
The restaurant fell silent again — only the faint hum of the laptop and Jayjay's pounding heartbeat filled the air.
