Mira's eyes locked onto Alexandra's, her curiosity piqued. "Who are you, really?" she asked, her voice firm but cautious.
Alexandra settled into the chair by the window, her movements fluid. "I'm Alexandra, Leo's cousin. We've got a... complicated family history, to say the least."
Mira's gaze never wavered. "What do you want from me?"
Alexandra's smile grew wider. "Oh, I think we could be great friends, Mira. We have more in common than you think."
Mira raised an eyebrow. "Friends? You think I'd be friends with someone related to my kidnapper?"
Alexandra laughed. "Kidnapper might be a strong word. Leo's just... passionate about getting what he wants."
Mira snorted. "Passionate? Is that what they're calling it these days?"
Alexandra chuckled. "You're feisty. I like that. Maybe we can work together to... improve your situation."
Mira's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"
Alexandra leaned forward, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "Let's just say I have ideas. And with your help, we might just be able to change the dynamics around here."
