*Chapter 30: A Proposition*
Mira's eyes locked onto Alexandra's, her mind racing with possibilities. "What kind of ideas?" she asked, her voice laced with skepticism.
Alexandra leaned back in her chair, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Let's just say I have a plan to take down Leo from his throne. He's been ruling this household with an iron fist for far too long."
Mira raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite herself. "And what makes you think I'd be interested in helping you?"
Alexandra's smile grew wider. "Because, my dear Mira, I think you're more like me than you realize. We're both strong-willed, intelligent women who refuse to be held back by the constraints of this household."
Mira snorted, rolling her eyes. "Save the flattery, Alexandra. What do you get out of this?"
Alexandra's eyes glinted with determination. "Let's just say I have my reasons for wanting to see Leo brought down a peg. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen."
As Mira pondered Alexandra's proposition, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being pulled into a web of deceit and betrayal. Was Alexandra's plan worth the risk, or would it lead to further entanglement in the darkness that surrounded her?
Meanwhile, in the shadows, a figure watched and waited, their eyes fixed on Mira and Alexandra. The game was afoot, and the stakes were higher than ever.
