"Aaah... n-no... L-Luna? I-I am your sister." Livina, having her eyes hardly open while blood was coming out of her severed arm, lay on the floor with her remaining hand stretched towards Luna, uncaring about the bloodied body of Victor lying behind her. She just wanted to live, somewhat hoping for Luna to save her.
"Haah." Luna just exhaled. Not because of the horrifying sight she had just witnessed, where a small battle had occurred with Victor being clearly shredded, but more because she could feel her thighs becoming wet, rubbing them together as she was hardly keeping herself standing. Her eyes were hollow, but the aphrodisiac was already running amok within her body, making her feel a strange tightness within her nightgown.
With the clear signs of her breath becoming deeper, Luna knew that they had destroyed her life.
She wanted affection; they denied it... that was already fine.
But by feeding her that poison, they had ensured that even those withered petals were going to be crushed today.
So it was better that before meeting her inevitable cruel fate, she made sure that they both suffered well in her eyes, even though she didn't feel anything. No remorse, no anger. Just wanting this moment to pass. But pass with a satisfaction she couldn't feel now, yet she said, "...kill her."
"N-no, Luna—" Livina, who was lying with one eye hardly open due to blood and unable to feel her lower body, slowly heard a sound that had, for a moment, sent chills throughout the room, the chill that had been killing Livina several times while she was alive.
Sckhlt....
It was the sound of flesh being torn apart and crushed between the teeth of a huge wolf as dark as the shadow of the night, with eyes as silver shining in the moonlight behind her, eating the body of Victor, which had been shredded into pieces. The sound of that beast slowly approached her, making Livina's heart just stop... not literally until she saw her fate.
Her eyes, through the filter of the moonlight falling on the floor, formed a deep shadow of the canine's wide-open mouth. She saw, slowly, its jaws opening, big enough to swallow her head, arriving and clearly feeling the saliva mixed with blood falling just an inch away from her. While looking towards Luna for the last time as tears streamed down Livina's face, she tried to beg again.
"Sister—SKCKLT—!" But everything faded into darkness, accompanied by a sharp pain as Livina's head was crushed between the sharp canines and teeth of the huge beastly wolf that bit her head off at the neck.
'!'
"Haah... Haaah..." Luna felt her feet stammer as she moved, supporting herself by holding the bed nearby, breathing heavily as she looked towards a black wolf slowly approaching her while holding the head of a woman with amethyst hair drenched in blood, which fell as it was thrown by the wolf, dangling on the floor before hitting Luna's feet.
The heavy breathing of Luna was not due to the bloodied sight she saw, but rather from how her body was melting from within. Clearly grabbing her belly as the heat made her chest suffocate within the gown she wore, the tightness pushed her already dead heart to expand with each heavy breath.
"Grrrrrhhhhh." And that black wolf growled, his nose picking up a scent coming from Luna, a scent that every wolf knew very well—the rich density of the pheromones leaking out of her body, signaling for her to be prepared for mating.
A scent deeply tied to the wolf clan, which was able to smell when a woman was particularly ready for mating, which naturally Luna also knew, making her just look towards the wolf, not shifting her eyes, having naturally seen him. What could she expect from a beast when even her own family abandoned her?
Maybe her death was going to be one of humiliation.
"Sigh." But what came out of that wolf, rather than something different, was withering black ashes and a sigh of the man as his body transformed slowly into that of a muscular man, revealing his human form as Jabriyan removed the black cloak he wore, letting it fall while grabbing it in mid-air. Wearing half pants, he moved towards Luna, whose body was already trembling as if succumbing to her fate. She just stretched her hands wide in a hug, given she knew this was how she was going to lose even the last bit of dignity a woman has.
'!'
But to her surprise, what she met with was that cloak thrown on her body, like a blanket covering her, not the hug she anticipated, just her eyes blankly looking within the darkness covered by the fabric.
And the declaration of that man, who muttered in annoyance, "...It will hide your body scent... stay here."
And as if that voice, much different in tone, unexpectedly gentle from a beast, made Luna tremble. Her hand, which had been stretched in anticipation of being ruined, seemed to tremble, grabbing the cloak tightly as she heard the footsteps slowly fading, distancing themselves as if the man was leaving the room.
"...Why?" Luna wasn't able to stop her words that wanted to somehow spill out, not because she had any control over them but because all the suppression of her life kept her words packed within that small body, causing them to overflow and lead her to ask the man whom she thought should have been less human than the people around her.
"What?" Javrian, who had been ruffling his hair, was moving out of the room holding the sword he picked from Victor to use it to frame one of the other noble houses, already planning the clan civil war; he was suddenly disturbed by the woman whom he thought he had already helped. Stopping, he turned towards her.
He found her, naturally, letting her red hair and then forehead slip out from that cloak, which was filled and bathed in his sweat and pheromones, strong enough to keep other wolves away from her, slowly seeing the hollow red eyes with no blink looking back at him.
"Why are you not doing anything?" Luna asked, like a broken glass asking why it was still not thrown.
"...." Javrian stood there looking blankly towards her for a moment before folding his arms and narrowing his gaze, asking, "Do you want me to do anything to you?"
"...No." Luna replied, more like the filter of her brain had turned off. Whatever came from her was just the utter truth, mixed with the suppression of all this time, still making her want to not break even more than she already was.
"Then rest, woman. Your people will save you once we leave," Javrian replied before giving a small nod and turning to leave. His feet bare, with his muscles bulkier and heavily toned under the moonlight. Yet, within that room, it mattered to none. As he reached to leave through the door, he heard a whisper.
Luna's lips parted before pressing together, and she didn't know why she was saying this to someone she had never met, yet she did, maybe to remind herself.
"I don't have anyone to... call mine."
