Darrell's POV
"What is it?"
"The council…"
Peter's eyes went to Larissa and then back to me. It was mysterious to be really serious then.
Those bloody bastards! What the hell do they want?
"I'll join you shortly."
Peter took his leave as I helped Larrissa out of the water.
"Is it bad," she asked, concerned as her feet settled on the grass.
"I'm about to find out."
I placed a kiss on her hands in assurance . I really hope we get to come here some other time..
"Are you sure you want to leave now?"
"Yes"
With that, he got on the horse and rode back to the palace. Peter's horse galloped alongside mine.
Whatever this is about the council, it had better be a serious problem..
"What do they want?"
"They are pushing for marriage with Lady Evenly. They have a mating ceremony in progress"
That was nothing short of amusing.
"Is there a reason her father wants her married by all means? Not many men would release their daughters to marry a renowned lunatic like myself.
