Larissa's POV
I wasn't sure how to react to the news I had just heard.
The Alpha was having a mating ceremony with Lady Evelyn? Right after he took me out for a supposed break?
"Unbelievable" I muttered in irritation as I stormed into the room.
I paced, annoyed that Darrell thought it was okay to make me feel special and then dump me aside for Lady Evelyn.
"My lady, I heard the court planned this behind his back, but I'm afraid of walking into a mating ceremony…he might be forced to finish what they have started…" Joanna offered, but it only made me even more upset.
Of course, Darrell knew the rules guiding this but he went there anyway!
"My lady, what if it's not as serious as you think? I'm sure the Alpha will…"
"Just stop Joanna! There's no point trying to side with him here. It's pointless…" I warned, getting more upset by the passing minutes..
What about the things he said, the promises he made? Was that all a lie?
"My lady, I didn't mean to upset you."
