After finishing the berries, he naturally had to sell them, but selling and earning so much money could be problematic if someone with bad intentions noticed him. His Pokéblocks would sell for another 16k, so selling them again would not be an issue, but what about later, when he has much more to sell and a lot of wealth with basically no protection?
Anyone who knew about his talent for creating Pokéblocks would definitely try to enslave him for making more, unless they had significant moral values. But this could be avoided if the other party believed he had someone significant backing him.
He just needed to create the illusion of a backer by showcasing his excellent talent at a very young age because it was indeed true that no one his age had ever become a Pokémon breeder even at the beginner level, let alone a theoretically top level breeder like him.
Top level breeders can create top-level Pokéblocks and are the most sought after rank of breeders.
Top level breeders are extremely rare. These breeders create top quality Pokéblocks that are highly valued and either have strong Pokémon themselves or powerful backers.
But claiming to have a backer without a backup plan was very risky, so risky that Haruki was unwilling to do it, even if he could not buy the raw materials needed to attempt making top level Pokéblocks.
His knowledge of intermediate and top level Pokéblocks mostly consisted of theories since little information about them was available on the internet. Information is a weapon that the top breeders often cling to and refuse to share.
Thinking about all this made poor Haruki sigh in resignation at his own weakness.
He reached another Pokémon item shop, different from the ones he had visited before since he did not want to return to those after using some questionable methods for buying or selling there, fearing he might get caught.
He sold his Pokéblocks for a trainer's backpack and purchased a good quality diary, pen and a laptop with good specs for a total of 10k Pokédollars, leaving him with only 6k Pokédollars, which he used to buy more berries to sell.
After repeating the process, Haruki ended up with a total of 48k by the start of the next day. He purchased materials worth around 40k to try and create intermediate Pokéblocks for Elekid and succeeded after wasting about 10k worth of resources on failed attempts. This left Haruki with enough to feed Elekid for a week.
He also bought 6k worth of berries for making recovery berries in order to gain around 32k more since he needed recovery Pokéblocks.
It had been nearly two days since Haruki had come to the city, but Elekid was still barely level 7 with relatively balanced stat increases that did not favor any single stat.
Now Haruki wanted to make Elekid train properly since there was nothing else he could do, so he headed toward the nearby trainer's facility. After showing the receptionist his ID and paying 20 Pokédollars, he got a private training room for about two hours all to himself.
If Elekid damaged anything, Haruki would have to pay for it, but it was nearly impossible for Elekid to cause damage unless he actively tried to destroy some electric circuits, so it was fine.
The room offered specialized training devices that provided the highest possible effectiveness for Elekid in their sectors.
Elekid trained for about 10 hours. The training was not the most efficient since there was room for improvement in time management, but Elekid improved as much as possible that day. Haruki also made sure to give intermediate quality Pokéblocks to Elekid since skipping meals was not a good idea, and he ate food himself as well.
During this time, Haruki was not idle. He tried to train his aura by surging it outward. He was able to slowly send his aura out, but it did not have any impact since it did not boost his defense or provide any other buff. Haruki also tried to find information about aura training online but was unable to, as there was basically nothing on aura on the internet.
That is partly because aura is not as widespread as many other powers and is mainly used by a single family.
Haruki tried meditating by simply closing his eyes without the proper meditation pose back when he was in the organization. Either his meditation was improper or the literature about Sir Aron meditating to get stronger was false. Haruki was inclined to believe the latter more than the former.
He did not achieve substantial results as he had never improved much in aura even when he tried back in the organization. He had just unlocked an aura vision that allowed him to see about 90 meters around him and nothing else.
Haruki had to pay 80 Pokédollars more but considered the spending worthwhile and decided to visit the facility to train every day.
Physically, Elekid was not very tired because he had taken short breaks during the 10 hour span, but he was mentally exhausted since it was the first time Elekid had exerted himself so much in such a short time.
Elekid drifted off to sleep as Haruki recalled him back to his Pokéball.
Haruki got back to the hotel, stored Elekid's current speed, strength and other information and went to sleep himself since he was also very exhausted.
