- The battle will start soon so let's introduce our fighters, said the judge.
- On the right side, we have the Frozen Prince, Yuki Misaka, said the judge and Yuki walked out. He has long light blue hair and brown eyes. He wore a blue shirt with light blue details under a silver blazer and blue pants.
- And on the left side we have the newest S-Class, Licht Kamijo, said the judge and Kamijo walked out. He is muscular and has white messy hair. His left eye is red and over his closed right eye was a scar. Kamijo wore a black t-shirt and grey shorts. The judge looked at both competitors and said "Start!"
- Ice Beam, said Yuki and shot a beam of ice towards Kamijo.
- Fire Overheat, said Kamijo and shot a bunch of fire towards Yuki. When their magic hit each other, Kamijo closed his hand and the fire exploded. When the smoke had disappeared, was Kamijo behind Yuki.
- Flamethrower, said Kamijo and shot a lot of fire towards Yuki.
- Shit, Yuki said when he saw that Kamijo was behind him.
- Icicle Wall, said Yuki and a wall made of ice came between them and shielded him from Kamijos fire.
- Freezing Shot, said Yuki and shot three spears towards Kamijo.
- Fire Arrows, said Kamijo and shot multiple fire arrows towards Yuki which destroyed the ice spears. It started burning on multiple spots in the arena.
- Ice Beam, said Yuki and shot a beam of ice towards Kamijo.
- Fire Replacement, said Kamijo and switched places with one of the fires.
- Hailstorm, said Yuki and it started hailing.
- Blizzard, said Yuki. All the hail stopped for a few seconds and then flew towards Kamijo and attacked him.
- Fire… Overhear, said Kamijo and a bunch of fire gathered in his hand and then he shot the fire towards Yuki. He closed his hand and all the hail tried to stop the fire. Kamijo also closed his hand which made the fire explode and a lot of smoke came out.
- Fire Sword, said Kamijo and took out his fire sword and ran towards Yuki.
- Frozen Scythe, said Yuki before Kamijo reached him and took out his ice scythe and tried to cut Kamijo.
- Fire Replacement, said Kamijo and switched places with one of the fires behind Yuki. He cut Yuki's back, which made him fall down.
- And it's Licht Kamijo who wins, said the judge.
- Heal, said Kamijo and healed Yuki's wounds. After he did that he headed to his room. After Yuki had left the arena, I, Suzuki and Wada headed down to Kamijo's room.
In Kamijos room.
When we got down, we saw that the Doctor and Kamijo were talking.
- It seemed easier than I thought it would, said the Doctor.
- It did? asked Kamijo.
- Hey Kamijo and doctor, you're also here? I said.
- Oh Kenji hi, said the doctor. Someone behind us said "Hi Kamijo." I looked behind me and saw that it was Nari and Yuki.
- Misaka hi, what are you doing here? said Kamijo.
- I just wondered if you wanted to join our team in the Team Battle Tournament? asked Nari. Kamijo looked a bit surprised and looked at the doctor.
- Who else is on the team? asked Kamijo unsure.
- It's me, Saito and Kenji, said Nari.
- Wait?… Why is Kenji on the team? He's just an F-Class, said Kamijo, confused. I looked at the doctor surprised and thought "Huh, I guess he's not told him about Magic Breaker."
- It's because he can stop magic with his right arm, said Nari.
- Hey, who said you could tell him? I asked.
- If he's going to be in our team it can be a good idea for him to know that, said Nari.
- True, I said.
- He can stop magic with his right arm? Yeah, sure, Kamijo said skeptical.
- Yes, he can. If you don't believe me I can prove it, said Nari.
- Nari, please don't, I protested.
- Single Lightning, said Nari and shot a lightning bolt towards me. Of course she doesn't listen to me, I thought and blocked the lightning bolt with Magic Breaker.
- So Magic Breaker is real, Kamijo said surprised.
- You know of Magic Breaker? I asked.
- Well, I have read about it but I didn't think it was real, said Kamijo unsure.
- So are you in or not? asked Nari.
- Yeah sure, said Kamijo.
The next day during PE.
- Hey, kids! Today it will be Suzuki who takes over the lesson, said Murata. It's Murata's last day at this school before his retirement. He looked at Ronin and then he walked a bit away from him.
- Ok, Goro Watanabe, can you come up? asked Ronin.
- Yeah sure, Goro replied and walked up to him. When Goro got up, Ronin told him "Take me down." A lot of magicians look down at us F-Classes, especially the higher class ones. Many of them think that if you're an F-Class then you shouldn't be allowed to go to a school here in Magic City. It's not rare to see magicians bully people without any magic. Which has made it so that we learn a lot of self defense techniques but they don't tend to help since we need to get up close to use them so often the magicians just use magic to bully us. Goro showed a smile and tried to punch Ronin's face but he avoided it, took Goro's arm and threw him to the ground.
- Is that all you can? asked Ronin. Goro looked up at Ronin angrily and tried to punch him again but Ronin just avoided and punched him in the stomach. Goro took a few steps back and looked down to the ground.
- So let's see what everyone else can do, said Ronin and fought against everyone.
Ronin threw Perez to the ground and said "So that's what you can. Better than I thought"
- Are they? asked Murata.
- Yeah, I expected a lot worse, said Ronin.
- Hey, Murata, someone screamed. I looked towards the voice and saw Kamijo.
- Oh Kamijo, is it time? asked Murata. Meanwhile Kamijo walked up to me he said "Yeah, we need to go now." I said goodbye to them and headed home to shower and switch clothes.
Everyone that is going to participate in the Team Tournament will be going to a party today. They are going to show who is going to fight each other in the first round of the first tournament and the price for winning the whole Team Tournament.
- So where are we meeting Misaka and Saito? asked Kamijo when we got out of my apartment. Apparently the team that wins the most tournaments will get an extra price which is new for this year.
- It's outside the Midorepki Magic Academy dorms, I replied. Kamijo wore a white shirt with a black blazer over it. He had black pants and a red tie.
- How is your family? asked Kamijo as we were on our way to the Midorepki's dorms.
- My family? Well, they are good, I guess, haven't met them since christmas. How's yours? I said. If you work or go to a school in Magic City, you usually only come out of Magic CIty during christmas or a school trip.
- My family? Don't know, he said.
- What do you mean, I asked.
- Most of them are dead and even those that aren't, I haven't met in a few years, Kamijo answered.
- Oh, sorry, I apologized.
- You have nothing to be sorry over. You didn't know that they were dead, he said.
- How long have they been dead? I asked carefully. He looked up into the sky thoughtfully and said "I think it's been 4 years now." 4 years? Wait, didn't he say before that he was 16? That means that he was just 12 years old when his family died. After I realised that, I looked at him with a shocked face. Kamijo looked at me and asked "What?"
- Nothing, I said.
- Hey Kenji, Kamijo we have been waiting for you, Nari screamed when we got to the Midorepki's dorms. Nari wore a blue dress and Saito wore a purple dress.
- Hey, Nari and Saito, are we late? I asked.
- No, you're not, answered Saito. She walked closer to Nari and hugged her arm.
- Lightning Shield, said Nari and a bunch of lightning bolts came around Nari and shocked Saito.
- How many times do I need to tell you to not do things like that? Nari screamed at Saito.
- But come on, said Saito.
- Hey Fuji, does that happen often? whispered Kamijo to me.
- No idea, I answered. After that we headed to the party.
Before the party started Kertdux, the leader of the Team Tournaments was going to give a speech.
- Hello and welcome to the Team Battle Tournaments. I am Kertdux. The ninth member of the board, said the leader of the Team Battle Tournaments. He wore a white shirt with a lightning bolt over his chest. He wore white leader pants and white leader gloves. He had a coat and his hair was black and he had a mask over his face.
- There are sixteen different teams so each tournament will have four rounds, said Kertdux. "The first tournament will be on the eighth of March." The music started after he finished his speech. Meanwhile we took some food, I looked around to see if there was anyone else that I knew and I saw both Alpha and Accelerator. What is Alpha doing here? I thought. She had a blue dress and beside her stood a man with short black hair and black eyes. He had a grey shirt under a black blazer. He had black pants and a black tie.
- Uh, do I have to have this on me? Can't I just have my normal armor on me? the man beside Alpha asked.
- Yes, you have to, Alpha answered irritated. I walked up to Alpha and said "Hi Alpha it's been a while."
- Oh, Fuji, Hi, please call me Aiya as long as you see me during the tournament, said Aiya.
- Ok, so who is that? I asked.
- Him? He's Norman, another member of Garden Of Shadows, said Alpha.
- I will just go to another place, said Norman and walked away.
- Ok, so Fuji, Nari, are you going to participate in the tournament? asked Aiya.
- Yeah we are, answered Nari.
- Ok, good to know. Before I go, when you eventually fight Norman, don't trust your senses, she said before she walked away. What does she mean by that? I heard footsteps approaching us from behind.
- Oh, so who do we have here? I'm surprised you could come here knowing full well I would be here, someone said behind Nari. When Nari heard him, she completely froze and then started shaking. I turned around and saw Accelerator. I said his name angrily. He wore a black blazer over his black shirt that had white zigzag stripes and grey jeans. He glared at Nari with his red eyes. I went between Accelerator and Nari and asked "Why did you come to us? Just go away."
- What? Am I not allowed to come and say hi to someone I know? he asked mockingly.
- Last time we said hello it ended with both of us in the hospital, I replied.
- Oh, this time it's only gonna be you who ends up in the hospital, Accelerator replied.
- You sure about that? I asked. He just laughed at me when I said that and answered "Oh, If you're that sure that you will win, you'll get a reality check." Meanwhile he said that he walked away. What is he planning? I wondered. After Accelerator walked away, Nari fell to her knees.
- Nari, you're okay? asked Kamijo while running up to us. She didn't react to what Kamijo said.
- Hey, Nari, are you okay? asked Saito.
- We need to take her home, said Kamijo.
- Yeah sure, I can take her home, Saito said.
- You can teleport her in this state? Kamijo asked unsure.
- Well no, not in this state, Saito replied disappointed.
- Okay, I will help take her home, said Kamijo.
- Thanks, Saito said.
- Kenji, send me the first rounds matchups after they get revealed, Kamijo told me.
- Yeah sure, I said and then they walked home.
Two hours later
- Everyone silence, Kertdux screamed and the music stopped. "The party is almost over, so let's see everyone's opponents so can everyone focus on the screen." Meanwhile he said that, a screen appeared and showed everyone's opponents. Are you kidding me? I thought. In our first battle, we will face Accelerators team.
- You can stay for another ten minutes and then you will have to leave, so bye, said Kertdux. I went home and texted Kamijo who we will face in the first round and when he saw my massage he responded "Off fucking course."
