The next day during math class. It was Kamijo, Suzuki and Hara that had this class.
I raised my hand. Kamijo walked to my seat and asked "What do you need help with?"
- I need help with this, I said and pointed at a problem in my math book but before he could help me he looked up at the door quickly.
- You also heard some running? asked Suzuki.
- Yeah and metal, said Kamijo.
- Metal? But no one has any lessons where you use metal, said Hara.
- I will look at what it is, said Kamijo and walked towards the door but before he got to the door, someone kicked down the door. It was multiple people with a dark brown hood over their heads and a black mask over their mouths. They wore brown jackets and black pants. The few places where you could see their skin it was very pale. Terrorists? I thought.
- If you don't give any resistance, you won't get injured, said one of the terrorists. The one in front pointed a sword towards us. Kamijo stood between us and said "Not happening" and started pointing at them.
- Fire Blast, said Kamijo and a big fire appeared at the end of the hand that he was pointing with at them but before he was able to fire his magic it disappeared. What happened to his magic? I thought.
- Oh shit, said Kamijo before one of the terrorists walked up to him and tried to cut him. He avoided the attack and punched the terrorist in the head. After the terrorist fell down to the ground, one of the other terrorists ran towards Kamijo and tried to stab him.
- Hara, Suzuki, take the kids to safety, I will take care of these, said Kamijo as he avoided the terrorist attack and elbowed the terrorist in the face. Kamijo walked towards the next terrorist who started running towards him and attacked him but he caught the terrorist's arm and punched the terrorist in the head. When all the students got out of the classroom, Ronin Suzuki screamed to Kamijo "Hey, Kamijo come!"
- Okay, Kamijo answered and turned around and started running towards us but before he could run far, some of the terrorists took out something that looked like a gun. When they shot it, it came out with a small blade attached to a string. It hit Kamijos legs and arms.
- Fuck, Kamijo screamed. The terrorists dragged him towards them which made him fall down. Shimizu took a knife from Ronin Suzuki and cut the strings.
- Are you okay? she asked. Kamijo turned around and saw that a terrorist tried to stab Shimizu's back. He took a sword beside him and pushed away Shimizu and stabbed the terrorist in the heart and kicked him away. Wait, did he just kill somebody? I thought shocked before the terrorist corpse stood up.
- Thought so, they are already dead, said Kamijo. One of the terrorists shot the ceiling which made it fall down between us and Kamijo.
- Go, we'll find another way out, said Kamijo.
- Okay, screamed Suzuki. We started running towards the exit.
Before we reached the exit, our teacher Suzuki's phone rang.
- I need to take this, said Suzuki.
- Yeah… Ok… Ok understood, said Suzuki and stopped. Why did he stop?
- Metal Knife, said Ronin and a knife made of steel appeared in his hand. Wait, why did he use metal magic? Isn't he an Ice magician? I wondered. He turned around and said "So, we are going to another place." He had a smirk on his face as he said that.
- Ronin, what are you doing? Your job is to protect the students, said Hara, shocked and scared.
- I'm sorry but that was never my job, said Suzuki.
- You bastard, Goro Watanabe screamed and tried to punch him but Ronin caught Watanabe's arm and stabbed his leg. He kicked away Watanabe.
- As long as you listen to me no one will be hurt, said Ronin. Why is it Hara and not Kamijo who is here, she's not a fighter and there's no way I can beat him, I thought, irritated. I walked up to Goro and helped him walk.
- Thanks, said Goro when I helped him.
- Don't worry, I answered. He took us to the gymnasium.
When we got to the gymnasium, it was already packed with students and teachers. Around them stood a bunch of normal terrorists. Ronin took us to the other students and teachers and then he walked up to a man that stood in the middle on the other side. The man wore black pants, boots and a shirt. He also wore plate armor over his shoulder, chest, forearm and legs He had a black mask over his eyes. Beside the man stood a woman with blue eyes and long brown hair with red stripes. She wore a shock gray jacket with wool around the hood that sat on her shoulder, under the jacket she had a dark blue sweater. She had blue jeans. On her back she had an axe with a long handle of some kind of dark steel.
- Is that everyone? the man asked.
- No, at least two are missing, said Ronin. That traitor, I thought angrily.
- Ok, change clothes and find them, the man told Ronin.
- Understood sir, Ronin answered and walked away.
- Hello everyone! We are the Garden of Shadows and I am Shadow, screamed Shadow and showed an evil smile. No, you're not, no chance, I thought.
- What do you want with our school? asked our principal, Bunko Ono. She has grey eyes and short gray hair. She wore a dark blue blazer over a blue shirt and blue jeans. She had glasses. Shadow walked up to Ono and asked "Where is the Mask of Strength?"
- The Mask of Strength? What is that? she asked.
- Of course an old woman didn't know what it is, said Shadow and punched her on the cheek which made her fly to the ground.
- Ono! screamed Hara and ran to her and helped her up.
- I'm okay, said Ono weakly. Shadow walked to the woman and asked "Have they found it yet?"
- No, sir, they haven't, said the woman.
- Come on, said Shadow.
- Should I go and search for it? the woman asked.
- Yeah sure, said Shadow and then the woman walked away. What should I do? We have to escape, I thought. Shadow put his hand on his head and whispered "If I knew that it was going to be this annoying, I wouldn't have done it." He turned around, so I tried to sneak up to him and punch him. If nobody else is going to do something then I will, I thought. When I got close enough I started running towards him but before I came to him, someone punched me in the stomach. It was one of the other terrorists.
- Huh? Oh, some idiot tried to punch me, said Shadow with a shocked face. He drew his sword and put it to my neck. Okay, this maybe wasn't my best idea. Before he cut off my head we heard footsteps from the corridor.
- Police, Saito screamed. It was Saito and some police officers.
- Multi teleport, said Saito and tried to teleport us away but it didn't work. What is Saito doing here? I thought.
- Wait, what? asked Saito, shocked.
2 minutes later
- So, that went well, I told Saito.
- Shut it, Saito told me.
- So why are you here? I asked.
- I'm a member of the police junior team, said Saito.
- Wait, what? I asked confused.
- Yeah, why are you confused? asked Saito.
- Well, because you're only 12 right? I asked.
- Yeah, I am, Saito answered.
- So the police have become desperate enough to hire 12 year olds, isn't that illegal? I asked.
- Actually, in Magic City, as long as you are A or S-Class, you can start working for the police when you are 10, said Saito. That shouldn't be allowed. "And I am the best teleport magician," she said proudly.
- Wait, are you? I asked.
- Yeah, I am. So what do we do now? asked Saito.
- What can we do? I asked. For some reason their magic doesn't work and they have weapons so we can't try to escape without risking our lives. I looked around trying to find a way out. Where's Kamijo when you need him?
- Hey, who's there? Shadow shouted. A woman with purple eyes and long black hair. She was muscular and on top of her head was dog ears. She wore a black outfit that had gold decorations. Around her collar, wrist and ankles she had black… fur? Her fingernails were so long that they looked more like claws than nails, and she had a black tail. When she came out, most of the terrorists surrounded her.
- Kill her, Shadow screamed and all the terrorists attacked her but she cut up about 10 of them right away and then she jumped on several and broke their necks or cut them into pieces. The best way to describe it is that it was a massacre, but of course everyone she didn't cut up got back up. How are the terrorists not dying? I wondered.
- Come on, can't you die already? asked the woman. She wasn't exactly wrong, even those she had cut up, still moved their heads. She continued to cut many more but they kept coming. Ok, how many are they? I thought. It felt like there were an infinite amount of terrorists.
10 minutes later.
- You need help? asked the woman that stood beside Shadow before. This time she had a white mask with orange details and on the cheeks there were fist symbols on it.
- Yeah, good, take care of her, Shadow told her. The woman with a mask walked closer to the other woman, she took out her axe and asked "So what's your name?"
- I'm Delta, why do you ask? asked Delta with a confident smile.
- I like to write down the names of everyone I kill in my notebook, and my name is Uelsket, she answered. Uelsket started running towards Delta and tried to slash her but she blocked Uelsket's axe and kicked her in the stomach, making Uelsket fly back several meters. Delta ran after Uelsket and tried to cut her with her claws but Uelsket blocked Delta's attack and tried to slash Delta but she avoided and jumped back several meters. Uelsket pointed at Delta with her axe and started running towards her. Delta started running towards Uelsket and when Delta's claws hit Uelsket's axe, it sounded like two metal things hitting each other. Delta the handle but when she did that, Uelsket hit Delta in the head with the handle. Uelsket tried to chop Delta but she blocked the axe head. She tried to cut Uelsket with her claws but Uelsket dodged and hit Delta in the face with the side of the axe. She tried to slash Delta but she was able to jump away. Uelsket started spinning around her axe very quickly and threw it at Delta who was able to duck and then she asked "Why did you throw away your axe?"
- Dual Metal Axes, said Uelsket and took out two small metal axes. When Delta saw Uelsket take out her axes, she started to grin and then ran towards Uelsket. She started to prepare herself but when Delta got close to her she jumped away and her longer axe came flying towards Delta's head. Delta protected her head and then Uelsket came and tried to slash her but Delta kicked Uelsket in the face. Uelsket's long axe hovered beside her and glowed blue. How does she do that? I wondered. Uelsket's hovering axe started spinning extremely quickly and then flew towards Delta and Uelsket started running towards Delta at the same time. Delta knocked the floating axe away and then she caught Uelsket's hands and kicked Uelsket in the chin, which made the mask fly away. When Delta let go of Uelsket's hands, she tried to slash Delta, but before she could Delta's claws were already in Uelsket's right shoulder and then Uelsket's had a cut wound over her torso. Blood came from all of Uelsket's wounds and then she started coughing up blood. When Shadow saw the mask on the floor, he started running towards the mask, but before he got there, a man with short blond hair and blue eyes had already picked it up. The man was muscular and had long ears. He had a black outfit with gold decorations.
- The stupidity it takes to pretend to be Shadow, said the man with blond hair.
- Oh shit, there's multiple, the fake Shadow said panicking. The man looked at the fake Shadow coldly.
- Kill them, screamed the fake Shadow and all the terrorists attack the man and Delta but they easily cut and chopped them but by the time they had finished them, the fake Shadow had already fled. They had similar outfits as Alpha, I thought.
- Should I hunt him? asked Delta.
- No, it's not needed, said the man. I walked up to the man and asked "So are you members of the Garden of Shadows?"
- Yes we are. I am Gamma, the third member of the Five Shadows and she is, said Gamma.
- I am Delta, the fourth member of the Five Shadows, Delta said energetically.
- Who are you? asked Gamma.
- I am Kenji Fuji, I answered.
- Oh so it's you that have Magic Breaker, I have heard about you from Alpha, said Gamma.
- Alpha have talked about me? I asked.
- Yeah, so we'll probably see you later. Come on Delta, we are going now, said Gamma and walked away.
-So those who attacked the school weren't actually Garden of Shadows? asked Saito.
- No, they weren't, see you tomorrow, I told Saito and walked away. The fake Shadow mentioned something about a mask. I will need to ask the doctor about it, I thought. Before I was able to leave the school, I needed to answer some questions from the police.
The Next Day
I stood outside the arena and looked at the entrance. I have been here multiple times as a spectator but never as a competitor.
- Hey, Kenji, are you nervous? asked Kamijo and hit me weakly in the back.
- Oh, Kamijo hi, yeah a little bit, I replied. Yeah, I'm a little nervous but I'm mostly worried for Nari, I thought while looking up at the big building.
- We are going to fight in the first match, correct? asked Kamijo.
- Ehm… Yeah, we are, I answered while thinking if Nari would be okay.
- You're thinking about Misaka? Kamijo asked.
- Yeah, how did you know? I asked. He looked at me and said "It was written all over your face."
- It did? I asked.
- Yeah, Kamijo responded. "If she feels like she can't handle it, she can skip it." He looked at the entrance and asked "Should we head in?"
- Yeah, sure, I answered without feeling sure.
20 minutes later.
- Hey, Kamijo, Kenji, you're already here? asked Nari when she and Saito came.
- Yeah, we have waited for 20 minutes, said Kamijo.
- Oh really, why? asked Nari while putting down her bag.
- Because we agreed to be here 30 minutes before the match, Kamijo said a bit irritated. Nari looked shocked and said "Shit I forgot." Kamijo put his hand on his face and said "Of course you did."
- Hey, Nari, are you sure you will be able to fight Accelerator? I asked. After I said that, she hesitated for a moment and then showed a soft smile and answered "Yeah, I will be okay. It's not like I'm the one that will fight Accelerator."
- Oh yeah, I forgot, I said. She laughed a bit and then said "Thank you for worrying about me."
10 minutes later.
- So, it's now time for the first tournament to start and for the first match we have Team Accelerator against Team Misaka, said the judge.
- Ok so now when it's about to start, I'm starting to get a little nervous, said Saito. Kamijo walked up to her and put his hand on her shoulder and said "The nerves will disappear once the adrenaline starts kicking in." She nodded as a response.
- So on the right side, we have Accelerator's team which consist of Accelerator, Kichi Kondo, Akane Kimura and Hayami Nishimura, said the judge. "And on the left side we have Misaka's team which consists of Nari Misaka, Ai Saito, Licht Kamijo and Kenji Fuji." After we heard our name we walked out.
