Chapter 5 - CHAPTER FOUR: LONELY BACK

Grandpa Delus came back to his senses. All this time, after being shocked by her beauty, he turned and glanced at his grandson to see if he had any reaction. He was dumbfounded at first because this was the first time he had seen a response from his grandson after seeing a lady. It interested him, and he gave him all his undivided attention. From the time his grandson came into the room, he was glaring at the lady who was acting so close to him, but later, his expression turned softer and softer, and all of a sudden, it turned to shock, then surprise when the girl tied her hair up.

This series of events delighted the old man so much that he asked the girl her name for his grandson to 'mark'. He spoke up again and told the girl, "Let my driver take you wherever you want to go." Havila gave her most beautiful smile, which left the people drooling and excited. She rejected the offer kindly, then, as if she remembered something, she turned around and said, "Oh! I changed my mind, let him cover my medical bills as a thank you to this beautiful maiden's help for saving such a suave and handsome grandpa, nameless, then we do not owe each other any favors."

She again gave a 90-degree bow and left the ward, swaying her slim waist, looking all excited to finally go back home. Upon getting outside the ward, her happy expression changed to one of sorrow; she didn't know where to go. She had already gifted her apartment, and she did not like staying in the hotel. She pulled her suitcase absentmindedly and strolled down the streets.

Grandpa Delus looked at her lonely back view and sighed. He muttered, "That girl knows how to hide her sorrows behind a happy smile." This comment brought Keveelsky's attention back to him. he asked, "Mr Delus, who's that woman?" The old man winked and replied, "Your future wife, whom I've chosen, she doesn't know, though, we only met today when we saved each other at the accident scene." Keveelsky was left speechless, but only he knew how his heart was beating wildly when he first heard she was his future wife.

It gave him a scare. Thinking back, the moment he laid his eyes on that girl, he could not look away from her; it was as if some magnet was drawing him near to her, but he was rooted to the ground. He wanted to get to know the lady, but his principles were telling him not to be tempted. Once you are interested in something, it brings attraction and many more feelings. Right now, the only girl he should work extra hard to be attracted to should be Tamar. He shook his head as if wanting to remove traces of Havila's image from his mind.

That Havila girl gave him a very familiar feeling, as the girl who saved him back then, her voice was also the same, too bad he didn't see her face. That familiarity made him wonder if he had made a mistake. Those brown eyes, he could never forget, but even Tamar has brown eyes. The only difference is the hair; the girl who saved him had red hair. Tamar had said she had dyed her hair back then. But seeing that lady today, he felt as if he was fooled, but he wasn't sure yet. He is not the type to accuse others without concrete evidence. This is a feeling even Tamar has never given him.

He asked the old man, "Where did you two meet"? The old man smiled wickedly and said, "Oh, it was all by accident. She wanted to commit suicide by being knocked down by our car. The driver changed directions at the last moment and missed her, and we ended up hitting the bridge railings. She first saved the driver because he had a slight injury and made him look for help, then we made an interesting talk, in the midst of our story, the car fell in the river and i lost consciousness, i woke up when she was doing CPR and crying like a fool, even saying this was her last good deed before she turned savage.

On hearing the whole story, Keveelsky's eyes turned cold. He said, "You said she wanted to commit suicide by being hit by a car, what if she had already recognized the car logo and had planned everything deliberately?' Mr Delus was shocked by his grandson's logic and retorted, "This is not business; she had no time to scheme anything because she had just been betrayed by her closest kin on her birthday. Do you think she would still have a remaining space to scheme against an old man she didn't know? That girl doesn't even recognize you. Tell me, in the whole city, who doesn't know you."

"What reasons would she have to scheme when she didn't even have people to celebrate her birthday with? I could see the pain in her eyes even if she tried hard to hide it with a smile. I could tell she was not lying. She did not even take a single cent from me. The excuse of paying bills and not owing each other was just an excuse because she knew she wasn't injured; she was just exhausted from swimming with me on her back. What bills could be there? She was clearly cutting all the ties with us politely because currently, she is afraid of trusting people. Are you doubting my analysis?"

Keveelsky was shocked by his grandfather's outburst. This was the first time in his life that he saw his grandfather angry with him for someone else he didn't know. He knew he had made a mistake by thinking the worst of somebody. His grandfather is always all about kindness all the time. His comments were cruel, and the worst thing was that he didn't even have evidence. He judged her completely without even trying to find the truth. He knew his grandfather was angry with him and not with that lady, so he realized his mistake and apologized.

Grandfather Delus saw blame in his grandson's eyes, and he knew he recognized his mistakes. He did not want to be strict with him because he knew he was in a business field full of scheming, so he didn't make it hard for him after the outburst. He asked him to have a seat. There was silence in the room until a nurse knocked on the door. The nurse pushed the cart in and blushed immediately when she recognized the handsome man. She even forgot to administer medication, then she heard a cold voice," Are you going to stand there forever? Give the medication, and go out?"

After the nurse left, Grandpa Delus opened his eyes and said, "If you are done venting your grievances, process my discharge. I am so bored here, I want to go home and relax." After a few minutes, the discharge procedure was finished, and the duo went home.
