Cappelli returned to the village, heading to his mother Mirta's house.

Cappelli kept waiting for a response, but that person left the box and sent him a message: "Wait until later."

He hid the box in his pocket. When he arrived at his mother's house, he knocked on the door and entered. He found her asleep on her bed. He woke her up, saying:
"Mom, wake up… it's me, Cappelli. I brought you a gift."
Mirta opened her eyes slowly and spoke with difficulty:

Cappelli: They took my money.
