Chapter 43 - Village people, goodbye Sally

Sula rode the cart with her children, while Uncle Colin was placing the bags in the back. After he finished loading them, he took the green box, climbed into the cart, and pulled the reins, calling to his wolves:

Uncle Colin: Let's go.

The villagers opened the windows of their homes, chanting:

Villagers: Sayle, bring us a lot of money! Capelli took our money! Goodbye!

Sayle: Uncle, did you hear their shouts? They seemed happy we were leaving the village. But… where did he get the money from?

Uncle Colin turned to Sula:

Uncle Colin: The villagers haven't forgotten the money they gave to Capelli.

Sula: Yes… it's a debt we carry. Those monsters attacked us and took my keys. I only have one key left.

Uncle Colin: You mean Sayle?

Sula: Yes… but my fear is that the cat will get him.

Sayle: My mother is talking about the cat… where is she?

Sula: She's guarding our house. When we return, we might find her grown up… with her own kittens.

Vizilla: I'll take a kitten to sleep with me, feed it, and give it a cup of milk.

Sayle: Mom, where's my green box?

Uncle Colin: I have it here next to me.

Sayle: Uncle, let's send a green beam into the sky to say goodbye to the village.

Uncle Colin: Now is not the right time. If we do, the monsters will come out and attack the village.

The cart moved farther from the village — unaware that the wild cat had slipped inside and was riding with them, hidden from sight.

Sula: Uncle, where are we going?

Uncle Colin: To the airport. We'll travel to a faraway country — to China.

Sula: Are there monsters there?

Uncle Colin: No… perhaps only robotic monsters… type 280.

Sula: What do you mean?

Uncle Colin: Like toys that children play with.

Vizilla: Uncle, I love toys! I'll buy one.

Sayle: I love playing with them too!

Uncle Colin: Yes, there are many — small and large. You'll have a lot of fun… though some might be huge. You might see them in parades and concerts… they could even make you cry.

Sayle: Will I see one that looks like my cat?

Uncle Colin: Maybe.

Sula: Look, Uncle — we're approaching the city. Will the wolves come with us?

Uncle Colin: We'll go to my house nearby and leave them in the garden. I have a guard there.
