I allowed Jey to return to the pack as I know that Kira's friend would be asking for him if she does not see him. I sighed out and once we noticed them entering the pack we spoke and made sure to fake laugh so the girls think we have been speaking for a while. We did speak about making an upcoming party in a neutral zone so the two humans can have fun.
We also ended up talking for a bit as he needed some ideas for a gift for his own love. For Rose. He is completely in love with her. Head over heels type of in love. Just like me I am in love with my mate. He did not admit outright that they are fated lovers or mates. But he is in love with her. I sighed out and just decided to just give him a chance.
"Your such a love sick leech" I tell him jokingly as I laugh a bit
"You are still a dirty mutt" he retorted with a laugh
I looked forward to stare at my mate and she hides something behind her back. Such an adorable human. I walked towards her as I am know curious to what she has behind her back. What did she buy? I know they shopped at Victoria's Secret as I logged into my bank and saw the statements. I saw how her face changed colors. She is so embarrassed right now and she looks so adorable.
The scent of vanilla started and I was so close that I can feel my whole member start to harden as that scent is known in the world. Luckily others always block out the scent when it is just a light. But I am inhaling all of it. I leaned close to her. I could hear her breathing quicken and her body tense up.
I glanced around me and I noticed how everyone started walking away from us. I smirked slightly as I am completely ready to tease my mate. Everyone around the pack is at a distance as they all signaled they were near the border. I know we spoke about checking for traps so the contracted humans show up it is easier for them to remove the tainted traps. I tried looking over her shoulder to at least catch a glance of whatever she got but I heard her swallow.
I glanced back to her and my teeth are aching. I inhaled slowly her scent. The vanilla starting to get stronger and longer. How will I pleasure this mate of mine?
"Seems like someone is thinking about me..." I whispered making sure my hot breath hits her ear
"Ah! What? N-No!" she quickly stutters out
I leaned back and laughed a bit at her reaction she looked away "Your so adorable..."
"Your a big idiot..." the way she said those words I wanted to laugh even more
I grabbed whatever she had behind her back and asked "What's this?"
I heard her muster something but I kept looking at the small box. What's inside of it? Is it a necklace? A ring? Bracelet? Watch? What did she bring? Is it for her? Is she wearing a necklace? Is it part of a lace? Some parts come in small boxes. I remember Sarah giving me a lecture with Zoey for nearly two hours about accessories for outfits.
But she was also hiding this from me. Is it something for me? Something I have to wear? Is she curious about something?
I inspected the box a bit more before asking once again "You were hiding this from me?"
"No fair! Give it back!" she spoke as she did these adorable jumps to try grabbing it
I pull it a bit higher as I asked with a gentle laugh "Is this for me?"
"N-No!" she shrieks out an answer
"Your a bad liar" I told her with a slight chuckle
I am completely curious know. She is fully blushing. So it is something for me. I opened it and I felt my heart flutter in joy. My mind blank though. I didn't know what to think. But something in me is excited. Nobody has gifted me something before. Everything is just foods and contracts from others. But nobody has ever gifted me something.
It is a ring. She got me a ring. Is she the one proposing to me? Is she doing what humans actually call a marriage proposal?
"You don't like it..." she snapped me out of my trance
With a swift move I held her against me and started spinning her in circles as I yelled "I love it!"
I felt completely happy as I held her tight against me but then I heard her voice "Your gonna make me vomit!"
'Oh shit I think I spin to fast' I slowly placed her down and just my arms as barriers. I have to keep her corralled. Her legs look like Jell-O. They shook a bit and I just smiled slightly. I held the box tightly in my grip in case she tried grabbing it while dizzy. It is mine now and I will wear it everywhere. I chuckled; I didn't expect myself to spin her this fast. I must remember she is human and my strength mixed with speed can actually hurt her or even get her sick.
I couldn't stop smiling. A giant smile. Something I haven't done in so long. She stares at me with her big eyes and I can know see that the dizziness is gone from her body. I want to spin her around once again but I can't cause her to vomit and feel sick when we have plans. I saw her open her mouth to tell me something but my arms gets grabbed.
I am yanked away. I felt completely confused as I didn't understand it. I hear a stomp in the background but I needed to know who dragged me away from my mate. Ashton. I saw determination in his eyes. Something happened. But then I saw the cheeky smile. I glanced back to Kira and saw how Oliver gave her something. The way she blushed so hard when seeing what's inside made my heart drop.
Everyone who is downwind was acting normal as if what we were doing wasn't there. But my mind trailed off to what was given to me. The ring. I looked at it once again as Ashton dragged me away. It was a tungsten ring. Black and blue color. Tungsten is so good for a ring. A little expensive but I love this material. Rare to find. They show up at random or in special locations including discounts. But real tungsten is really expensive.
Even more if it's custom ordered tungsten. I should get her a ring in return. I would have to get it customed made to match with the one she bought. I know getting it custom will just be pocket change for me but it is something special. I am engraving our names inside the rings. In case someone steals her ring or she accidentally looses it while going on adventures with Sarah.
Sarah can be persistent and drag anyone with her to places. I felt completely happy and just looked up to the sky noticing how the wind has picked up and made the sky clear. Such beautiful blue sky. Clear and the wind feels so good as well. It is completely perfect for our date. Once we are out of ear shot Ashton finally stops and stands in front of me with curious eyes. I rolled my eyes at him and sighed out.
"What?" I asked a bit curiously
"We found eight more traps" Ashton tells me quickly as he glances around
"What else?" I asked as I got serious all happiness gone
"Jaqueline is still running around the border... She is acting like an actual wild wolf and their Pack Beta is unresponsive" Ashton explains slightly
"We'll have to notify the Alpha King with his new information... Sadly capturing an Alpha while in that state will be very difficult" I explained softly
"Shall we wait until she tires out and capture so the Pack Doctor can check on her?" Ashton asked worriedly
Should we capture her?
What will happen if we catch her?
Will she wound others?
How long has she been like this?
Also; An unresponsive beta is there something wrong at her pack?
Is there even still a pack left?
We haven't checked on her pack in nearly two years. I toyed with the box in my hands as I kept my mind deep in thought. I need to plan a way to check her territory. While I ran earlier there were no warrior wolves. No scent. No nothing. Even Jeremy showed up in his own territory. Something is happening that even Jeremy got close to look.
Something is going on and it will reveal itself in some odd way.
"Contact Jeremy and Vincent it seems we will have to go to Jaqueline's territory at a later date... Seems like something happened as it is completely odd that a Betta doesn't even answer another" I explained slightly
He nods in agreement as he speaks once again "What about the humans in our pack?"
"We will act normal for now we can schedule something with Sarah or Oliver to get them out of the pack while Vincent, Jeremy and I check out the Jaqueline's pack" I explained slightly
We must fix this somehow.
