Once I am completely dressed I reached the library of the pack house. My mate must be waiting down there for me. I smiled. Ready to take her out and have so much fun. Ashton has already mind linked and Jeremy responded to meet for a quick get together to speak about the absent Alpha in their territory.
From what Jeremy explained to Ashton he has spotted Jaqueline but he was also unable to capture her. She has been rescuing his pack members as well while running away. It has been going on for weeks. He had also notified the Alpha King but it seems the King did not believe him as Jaqueline has a wild streak of getting herself hurt with extreme training. So this isn't the first time. The King has seen her with wounds before but Jeremy also added that the last time he spoke to Jaqueline's beta was a month ago.
Something did happen. But for now I need to act normal. I don't want my mate to get scared about the situation. I want her to have some kind of normalcy. I got confirmation that everything is ready.
The ding of the elevator snapped me out of my trance and I looked forward. My mate is sitting on the sofa while reading something. I just stood there. Taking it all in. The way she was dressed. She looks gorgeous. She wore a red dress. Knee length. It was slightly tight around her chest. Lose around her waist down. Nearly a princess style. Except it wasn't poufy like those princess dresses.
I shook my head slightly and walked towards my mate and smiled slightly. She is completely entranced with that book. I felt my wolf rage with excitement. I am so ready for this date. I was told that the Christmas decorations are completed in by the town. They haven't finished decorating yet but tonight they will do the light show.
They will turn off all the light posts and only the Christmas decorations will be lighting the location. It is beautiful. I am completely lucky I had sent Oliver to get me a simple gold ring. I will use it as a promise ring for my mate. A promise I will accomplish once this hell freezes over. I will give her a grand wedding and I will show her the true way of making love to a mate.
I touched the ledge of the book as I lowered it so she could stare me. I want to be in her vision and I could see how her eyes focused on me as if finally noticing me. I smiled at her as I wanted this to go smoothly. I closed the book she was reading and removed it from her hold. Placing it on the coffee table beside the couch. She followed my movements with her eyes. Not saying one word.
I heard the car park and so I grab hold her hand and lead the way to the entrance. She looks back to me with wide eyes. The way her eyes look at me. So bright. So full of curiosity. We needed to reach the lobby so obviously we had to take the elevator once again. The window clear as I saw her notice the car. I smirked slightly. But I quickly calmed down as I needed everything to be a surprise.
Once we were on the first floor and the doors opened revealing the car right in front of the door. I could hear her heart beat start to quicken. I just hope I don't ruin the proposing the promise ring.
"Well my love... Are you excited?" I asked nervously
"Of course... It's our first date after all... You must have prepared for all of this" She responded causing me to glance at her she had the most beautiful smile ever
"Prepared no... Been thinking and rearranging my thoughts to make this perfect" I tried explaining but it came out a bit awkward
"Nothing will be perfect love... But as long as we both enjoy the moment everything will be alright" she spoke with that gentle voice of her
"That's true..." I told her with a low chuckle
"Did Ashton give you an envelop?" she asked me curiously
I snapped my head towards her completely confused so I asked "Envelop?"
"Yeah... It had a condom and pills inside" she answers as if it was a normal Tuesday morning
"That man... I could never do something without your permission" I nearly laughed as I spoke and it ended up sounding like a chuckle
I opened the door slightly and I lead her out towards the car. I could hear her breath hitch with excitement. I have so much planned but seems that plans to get ruined from time to time. I smiled slightly as she looks happy. I walked out and I just used a bit of my wolf speed to reach the passenger door before her. I saw her hand twitch slightly as if to move but it seems like my sudden movement interrupted her actions.
Good. Today is my treat so she is to be pampered. I want to spoil her even if in the future I start to mentally complain. But it is my choice. I know what I am doing. I will spoil the love of my life with all the future dates and outings.
I felt my phone vibrate meaning I got some information or the reservation text. I closed the door for her and I looked back to the pack house and noticed Aria with Sarah. Waving goodbye. Behind them inside the elevator was Ashton waving something. I squinted my eyes and noticed it being a wallet.
Who's wallet is that?
How did he get that wallet?
Why is he waving it towards us?
Is that Kira's wallet?
I went to the drivers door and got in. I think my mate was trying to bring her wallet but it seems Sarah and Ashton predicted it completely. I chuckled and just started driving towards the city. One of my favorite restaurants is expecting us. Should I upgrade to a VIP area. Maybe I shouldn't as I know Kira will complain. Same as last time where she was completely shy and asked me about what to order.
I smiled slightly and I placed my hand on the steering wheel while with the other I touched her hand. Her soft and warm hands. She had a light blush in her face. I sped up the car once we are out of the driveway and into the streets. She held my hand tightly causing me to laugh a bit.
She leans forward and raises the volume of the radio. There was a Christmas song on. I smiled as I held her hand tightly as well. I don't know what to get my mate as a Christmas gift.

I was snapped out of my train of thought when one song popped up. It was a song I use to hear when I was in school a lot. Fireball by Pitbull. I remember taking fireball shots to this song while at the party. I was a complete wild card back then. Was my mate a wild card as well in her past? Or was she a bookworm? I smiled slightly as I mouthed the lyrics of the song.
My finger tapping to the rhythm of the song. I felt my phone vibrate once again but I ignored it. The drive to the city is long so I need concentration. I glanced to the side as I felt eyes suddenly. But I just kept going. I felt a light tug from my hand and so I looked towards my mate. She was leaning close to the window. Her hand slightly lose from my own. I smiled slightly.
The next song that popped up was Panic at the Disco. The music is completely mixed with genres today. That is odd. Usually they only have Pop playing on the radio. At least the one I usually listen to it. But I haven't changed this channel so usually pop and Hispanic music. I was learning to speak Spanish so this radio station places English and Spanish mixed remixes. I felt completely happy.
I looked forward as I felt danger for a moment. I was nearing the wrong side of the road. I tensed a bit but luckily there was nobody there so I slowly without Kira noticing returned back to the right side of the road. I hope my mate did not notice as we are now nearing the city.
